Sylvia's La Canasta Mexican Express & Drive Thru

Got 5 dozen tostada shells like homemade

Sylvia's La Canasta is a hole-in-the-wall sort of place with counter and drive-thru service and pretty good food (although neither my husband nor I cared for the "salsa" - it was really just hot sauce).

7.99$ for a very small green chili burrito. Very bland. All other La Canasta restaurants r very good. Dining area doesn't appear clean. Also too hot to eat there

Portions were exceptional. Food was served in a timely manner. Pleasant staff. I will eat there again.

Too expensive two burritos and a couple of bowls of flavor less menudo was $60. Not to mention they didn't even pack the lemon and cilantro for the menudo. Very disappointed.

If I could give zero stars I would. My Mom has been going to the Canasta since she was a little girl at Grant Elementary. She now lives out of state and was anxious to eat from their restaurant when she came to visit. She ordered a quesadilla with ground beef and - no onion or chile...she received one with green chile (it was for my nephew who is allergic to onion).

food here is always good, clean place love the salsa. only reason it's not 5 stars they don't always know there menu and sometimes forget the prices. other than that excellent

I LOVE Sylvia's on Camelback.. this location however. The cashier was not rude just not helpful. Asked for the restroom he said it was out back. Door locked and had an out of order sign on it. The signs put up for the employees behind are harsh and in plain view. Food was good but the service and atmosphere killed it for us. Had to ask more than twice for the chips and salsa...

Food was amazing service was fast... I know good food and this place was the bomb... Loved it

The food was good. I just got your basic ground beef tacos, rice and beans. I would go there again.

I've never been to a Mexican restaurant that does not give you hot sauce for your food. They used to give you one sauce per item ordered but now you have to order hot sauce separately and pay 15 cents each for them. Every restaurant I have EVER been to provides condiments for your meal. The ridiculous new policy is the sole reason I won't go back.

We used to love their food despite it being pricey. In September we ordered from there and it was a big order. It took forever the cashier was saying they had not had a big order. Sadly all the food was burnt and they forgot a couple of items. Well I thought I'm not coming here again but like mentioned before we loved their food especially the red chile so I decided to give it another shot we went back. This time the food was cold and very salty. I definitely will NOT be going back. I don't recommend the food. The cashier Sadly all the food was burnt. both occasions was nice.
