It seems like a nice place. We stood around for a little over 7 minutes while the hostess was on the phone.
We are interested in hosting a event in December and wanted to check it out.
Food was great. Drink(s), great. Wait staff, not so much.
Nevertheless, we'll be back. Maybe just an off day.

T. Cookâs at Royal Palms blew me away. The short ribs were the best Iâve ever had â so tender and flavorful. I loved the focaccia with signature pesto, such a perfect start to the meal. The Mariaâs chicken with risotto and the lamb chops were also absolutely delicious. Beautiful atmosphere and fantastic food all around!

Decent food for Phoenix with reasonable prices. Not the fine dining it was 20 years ago.

My boyfriend and I were staying at the resort for a few days to celebrate our 5th anniversary. All the staff were outstanding and gave attentive service -Â Brent, Katie, and Ismael. They checked in with us regularly and we're so heart warmingly friendly.
The food was so flavorful and cooked to perfection each time we went during our stay.
Thank you so much guys!
Nothing to disappoint in this beautiful restaurant. If youâre looking for a casual atmosphere and an amazing dining experience (breakfast, lunch, dinner or just cocktails), look no further.
This is old school Arizona at its best.
Donât expect a modern chain restaurant experience, those are fine, but this is something pleasantly different.
Hotel room are a bit hit and miss, but if you are in the right frame of mind, you will appreciate the classic charm of the overall venue.
Staff is wonderful here too.
The food and service were excellent. The restaurant was able to provide gluten-free options and responsive service. We will visit again.
Motherâs Day Brunch Disappointment â Not Worth the Hype or the Price
We were beyond disappointed with our Motherâs Day brunch at T. Cookâs at the Royal Palms Resort. For a $175-per-person price tag, we expected something special, but what we received felt more like a glorified Best Western breakfast.
The buffet featured grocery store-style pastries, a lackluster and sweaty meat and cheese board, a very basic salad, and standard breakfast itemsâscrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoesâthat were no better than a budget hotel buffet. The seafood station offered overly salted shrimp and oysters, with little attention from the staff to refresh or maintain the presentation.
Our main courses were forgettable. My daughterâs eggs Benedict arrived with one egg hard-poached and the other undercookedâclearly no attention to detail. The only decent part of the meal was the dessert, which was good, but far from exceptional.
Service was another low point. Our waitress, though friendly, was awkward and lacked basic knowledge of the menuâeven admitting she hadnât tried any of the food when asked for recommendations. Service was slow and inattentive, which only added to the frustration.
All in all, this was not the elegant, memorable brunch we hoped for. For a special occasion like Motherâs Day, this experience missed the mark entirely. I wouldnât have paid $50 for this meal, let alone $175. We wonât be returning to T. Cookâs for any special events in the future.
***Response to Royal Palms Reply- I already emailed the following to concierge the same day posting the review therefore the suggestion to email in redundant and obviously shows that negative feedback is not top priority.
Dear Royal Palms Resort & Spa Team,
I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment and frustration with the Motherâs Day brunch we attended at T. Cookâs this afternoon. As Arizona natives and longtime admirers of your property, this experience was not only incredibly underwhelming, it was astonishing considering the $175 per person price tagânearly $900 for our family of four.
We have dined at T. Cookâs many times over the years and have had exceptional meals, including a beautiful Motherâs Day brunch in 2018. Weâve always viewed the Royal Palms as a treasured part of Arizonaâs hospitality landscape. Sadly, this latest experience felt like an exploitation of the resortâs name and location, with no attention to quality, service, or value. It did a complete disservice to the legacy of the property.
Quite frankly, the brunch was nowhere near worth $900. To charge that amount for a subpar, forgettable experience is inexcusable. You are relying on the beauty of the property and the Royal Palms name, and unfortunately, delivering none of the excellence that name once stood for. It was embarrassing, and you should be ashamed to have served that kind of meal under the guise of a luxury celebration.
I request that this complaint be brought directly to the attention of Mr. James Vecchio, Director of Food and Beverage, and Mr. Tyler Stirrett, General Manager. I am more than willing to speak further if a follow-up is warranted, but at the very least, I expect this to be taken seriously and acknowledged.

This is our third time going to T Cooks and itâs starting to go down. First hostess didnât even greet us just stared at us until we told her we had a reservation. Waitress was nice but busy, didnât get a second mimosa and didnât even offer my daughter anything to drink. Food was okay. For the price, it was not worth it.
I made reservations for Mother's Day weeks before the event. I had to give my credit card to confirm my reservation . Three days before Motherâs Day I was informed that since I was not a registered guest they would have to cancel my reservation. After talking to a manager I was sent an email stating they could only accommodate us if we came at 8:00 am. Since part of my party was coming from out of town that was unacceptable. Obviously it was impossible to get reservations anywhere else at this late date. I will never book another holiday here again.
Very disappointing!!!
Fabulous experience yesterday celebrating friendâs birthday. Servers were gracious and attentive.
Awesome food, drinks, service and atmosphere!
The great service was only exceeded by the quality of the menu and it's execution. ïżŒïżŒ the wine list was not only impressive from a bottle standpoint, but also had a wide selection of wines by the glass, which the four of us took advantage of. My wife and I had invited a couple who had never been to T. Cook's and they stated that the restaurant had exceeded our descriptions of how great it was. ïżŒ
