I was craving carne asada tacos and someone recommended this place to me. Super delicious tacos!!! Wow! Great flavor and the tortillas were fresh. I put onion, cilantro and green salsa on them and the flavor was on point. The green salsa was a bit spicy and the chopped onions and cilantro were all fresh.

My boyfriend ordered a carne asada burrito. This place would have gotten 5 stars if his burrito wasn't so small. It was pretty disappointing given he took one of my tacos because of it.

We also ordered the refried beans. They had great flavor but were also rather salty.

Would return for the tacos!

Great quesadillas and tacos!! I love the self-service bar with all the salsas and the grilled onions and jalapeños. Horchata is also delicious.

Tacos Calafia in Ahwatukee is a hidden spot in a strip mall on the south side of Chandler Blvd…the carne asada burros are solid and the condiment bar has great smooth & silky guacamole, sauted onions and grilled jalapeños on the side too. The hot salsa is super hot, so beware. The atmosphere is casual and open.

The food was extremely salty! I had street tacos and had a bite of my husbands el pastore! It was gross! He liked his food and I now have a very upset stomach! I will not eat here again!
Also why would you open a taco shop in the same complex as another taco shop? I have not tried El Jefe. I really hope it is better than the food I ate tonight!

The food is passable... Nothing bad and nothing outstanding. The dining experience is cold and impersonal ... it's all self-service. The staff are friendly, but you basically do everything for yourself, so it's really not relevant. The restaurant is clean but neither a homey, nor a pleasant environment.

The food is really excellent. The space isn't the best, but the amazing food and salsa makes up for it. So good!!!
