Been a year since I've been here. Snowbird, got there at 5 left at 730 for 6 salads. Again I didn't get my side order of fries. Won't be back. Service was slow on a slow night

Visited Tarbell’s for the first time! Everything was amazing! From the hostesses to Kristen, our server, to the managers, Andrew and Thomas, everyone was so welcoming and ensured that our experience was immaculate. The server assistant was exceptionally attentive as well! The fish and steak were both to die for. Can’t wait to be back!

We had an extremely disappointing experience on Valentine’s Day 2/14. My boyfriend had booked us a reservation here but due to an open table system error, we were sent over to tarbell’s tavern. Since it’s Valentine’s Day, they were full and could not take us in so we had no choice but to settle in at the tavern. We tried to make the most of the tavern but they ran out of ALL dishes on the menu except for chicken and salmon and some other random entrees. It was only 8pm at that point.

If the tavern had their menu available, we might have been able to judge the restaurant fairly. Unfortunately, our Valentine’s Day experience was a complete letdown, and we didn’t even get the chance to try the menu. The couple at the table next to us experienced the same OpenTable system error. There are plenty of other restaurants in town, and given this disappointing experience—especially on a special occasion—we have no reason to return.

No one wants to share a table with another couple for Valentine’s Day. The tables seemed to be two separate tables put together but were shared between two separate reservations. Kind of crazy. Food was below mediocre. Waitress was amazing.

We had a great server, however, was not satisfied with how the prices were not shown online when you looked at the menu and at the restaurant, the pricing was very small and almost impossible to read. For great food, you should not have to hide the cost.

Haven't been to Tarbell's in nearly 20 years...kicking myself for that. Food & service were spectacular!! Pork Chop and the Bolognese w/Papardele were amazing! Might not wait even 20 minutes to go back!

Tarbell's delivers one of the most polished dining experiences in Phoenix, and our recent visit made it clear why the restaurant has earned such a strong reputation. The food was exceptional, the ambiance was inviting and refined, and the entire evening felt thoughtfully crafted. Even with all of that, the true standout for us was the service. It was the best we have ever experienced at any restaurant, and it made the night unforgettable. Tarbell's is known for its chef-driven New American menu created by Mark Tarbell, a James Beard nominee who has shaped the Phoenix dining scene for decades. Every dish we tried was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The dining room feels warm, artful, and comfortable. It is upscale without being stiff, and it has the kind of atmosphere that encourages you to settle in and enjoy the evening. The space feels both refined and welcoming, which is a rare combination. The service is where Tarbell's truly shines for us. The staff is known for treating guests with genuine warmth, and that reputation is absolutely deserved. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed in a way that was sincere and personal. The pacing, recommendations, and attention to detail were all flawless. By the end of the night, it felt like we were dining with friends who genuinely cared about our experience. It was, without exaggeration, the best service we have ever had anywhere.

Fantastic meal.....again! Mark's Mom's Mac and cheese is killer, followed by the ribbon pasta and meatball pizza!! The old fashion's were perfect, and topped with the Carmel topped cheesecake, OMG! Delicious doesn't do it justice. Victoria helped us, she was awesome!

This is a long-established restaurant and we know many people who frequent the restaurant and Tarbell's Tavern. We live nearby so thought we'd try it again after a couple of years since our last visit. The service was excellent. It was easy to see that the staff was well trained, enjoyed their work, and worked well together. We started with the Calamari appetizer, which was the best thing about the food. It was prepared with a light tempura and a tasty, light salsa verde sauce. We also had the wood oven Brussel sprouts, which were perfectly seasoned and crispy. The two main courses we ordered were a bit disappointing. The Calamari in the risotto main was hard to find and taste as the dish resembled a heavy, thick, dark stew. Hardly worth the $45 we were charged. The other main was a pork chop. It was cooked well, but would have been better with a lot less salt. We will be back for a visit in the future because of the staff, and the atmosphere is relaxing. However, we'll likely order from the "Tarbell Classic" part of the menu

The service was great! Our server was attentive but not intrusive. She even brought out a birthday cake after learning it was one guest's 90th birthday.

Finally made it to this iconic restaurant. Now a get the hype. Great food, great service and a beautiful environment. My Hamachi Crudo and the legendary Mr. Fish (Sea Bass tonight) were excellent. Great wine program. Will be back!

5 Stars for this Paradise Valley gem. Sadly my wife and I are leaving Scottsdale we had our goodbye dinner at Tarbells.
Awesome Atmosphere quiet sophisticated vibe
Compliments to Shawn our waiter. Shawn is a great ambassador for Tarbells. Knowledgeable great listener and very service oriented
The food was outstanding. Caesar salad is a great flavorful presentation of an old classic. My wife had the bolognese. I had the very large meatball dish. These were the best we have had paired with wonderful Pinot and Merlot wine selection. Capped off by out of this world and Tarbells hand made cheesecake. It was a great meal and experience

We went with friends for a holiday evening. The service was outstanding and the chicken dinner was one of the most juicy, delicious chicken meals I have ever had. They offered to serve a half and half when one of our party said she was torn between two menu items.

We had the caramel cheesecake for dessert and it was decedent!
