This place makes me extraordinarily happy! Food is so good - steaks are like butter, gravy is wonderful stuff, and I love the shrimp cocktail (old school). Service is always so friendly and they remember the things you like. Very grateful this restaurant is still around. Best stuff ever, guys!

My family and I came here for dinner while on vacation. We had a great time! The food portions are LARGE, so you definitely get your money's worth. The food tasted great. Most of us ordered the Chicken Fried Steak entree. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I would come back if I were to find myself in the area again and I definitely recommend trying Texaz Grill to others.

The service every time was exceptional and the food was tasty in big-sized portions. I have yet to leave there longing for more food. if anything I leave there with a full pallet a little bit light in the wallet but happy as can be. The mashed potatoes in white gravy was good those biscuits were fantastic hot and fresh made. You got it at a fair size piece of fish fish fillet with tartar sauce and you can ask for cocktail sauce I like the cocktail sauce a little heavy on the vinegar but still complimented the breading they use on a fish very well and that peach cobbler was very good but not the best peach cobbler I've ever had was that Bill Johnson's Big Apple said to say they're no longer around but cruise by text as for a drinking a meal and some pleasant conversation with other guests there's a bar there pretty much any drink you can think of and a nice bartender.

Service was par. Hostess seemed very uninterested in being there. Waitress came fairly quick and asked for our drinks. Took me two request from our waitress for a coke and than when another waitress came I asked for a coke and she did get it right away!! The fried shrimp was extremely bland. It was crispy however the shrimp had no seasoning what so ever. The corn you could tell immediately was frozen corn and was very bland! The steaks were mediocre and we did try the brisket that came brown and very rubbery and extremely hard to pull apart… we all tried one little piece of it just to try to not judge a book by its cover and it was an immediate mistake… the chicken fried chicken I order was the only thing tasty and was actually pretty good! I will never come back…

It's literally on the corner of 16th and Bethany Home Rd. It's usually crowded on weekends and weekdays after 5, and may require reservations. Definitely a must try when in the city of Phoenix.
