We had sweet nut curry and their signature dish. Both were delicious. We’ll be back again.
Convenient to the downtown entertainment venues. Walking distance to the theaters and a close ride to Chase Field.

I’ve eaten at Thai restaurants around the U.S. (Pennsylvania, Indianapolis, Kalamazoo, Las Vegas, San Diego) and Thai Basil is at the top of the list for flavor. Food was really good! I have multiple food allergies (dairy and gluten) and didn’t have any problems finding lots of options. Had the Green Curry, level 2 spice, and loved it! A good kick but not overwhelming spice. Husband had the Drunken Noodles with 0 spice and enjoyed it. Just a basic restaurant for atmosphere, but I went for good Thai food not ambience. Highly recommend!

Went here before a concert back in January. Still remember how the experience was even after all this time. We ordered the veggie spring wraps along with the kebabs which were wonderful. The mango cheesecake was amazing, definitely would get again. Unfortunately the main entree, which was Pad Thai, looked completely orange & smelled and tasted like cat food. I am not one to waste food, however I couldn’t finished it or even eat more than three bites it was that bad.
Wouldn’t recommend unless you just want appetizers or just a good dessert.

One of the better Pad Thais I've had. Great service and wasn't too busy on a Thursday evening around 6pm. Great spot!

The food here is so amazing! I am in Phoenix from out of town and the first night i tried the chicken pad thai and mango sticky rice. The pad thai flavor was delicious and very prominent. The mango was fresh and the perfect follow up. Dinner the first night was so good I decided to come back a second night! I got the tom yum soup and it was absolutely fantastic! The next time I come back, I will try a curry dish. Thank you for such amazing flavor!

Food was ok, nothing special. Service was less than stellar. Never returned to the table to refill drinks and we sat there for 10 minutes when we were clearly finished before I got up and went to pay at the bar so we could leave. The staff never even came back to our area of the restaurant and it's a pretty small place. I also take exception with the suggested tips starting at 20% especially with this lackluster service.

I’ve had Thai in Mom ‘n Pop holes-in-the-wall in Long Beach and to me, Thai Basil is still my favorite.
My go-to is the Tom Yum Kai soup - not the coconut milk version although they offer that one as well - but the lemongrass version that’s sweet, savory & spicy. It’s full of chicken, mushrooms, cilantro, onions & other veg. I also order the Drunken Noodles which some places call Pad Kee Mao (there might be another name and similar spinoff dishes, some w/egg & some without).
I’ve had great consistent food from the Paradise Valley Mall Thai Basil as well as North Scottsdale, but ambiance-wise, the downtown PHX location is the best. If you’re headed down there for a DBacks or Suns game , check out Thai Basil. Great date place, & casual enough for family/kiddos.

What a wonderful Thai restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and I loved the beef salad! It was so tasty and there was a lot of beef packed into it. We also got the coconut soup and it was incredible! Lots of meat packed into it and flavour and The broth was incredibly creamy and delicious. Finally, we got the grilled pork Vietnamese style and it was incredible again! The food looked amazing and it also tasted just as amazing! Our server was super nice and the interior was great. We had a great window view of downtown Phoenix and I highly recommend this place.

THE BEST Thai food in the area. Staff is so kindhearted. Get the Pad Thai and Coconut Ice Cream :)
Called in to order as their site didn't support any requests for dishes, which is understandable especially as those modifications can get complicated for a busy restaurant. It was totally fine to remove the chicken, tofu, and bell pepper from the Mee Krob (I stated I have no problem paying full price) and we ordered a shrimp yellow curry and extra rice. With 4 cans of soda an extra side of jasmine rice it came out to about 50 bucks. The drinks made up like 12 of that, but it was still cheaper than the hotel.
Enough logistics! The food was delicious! Creamy, thick, rich yellow curry that coated the rice nice and thicc. Easily a dozen plump tasty shrimp in it totally justifying the common upcharge. The Mee Krob was perfect and just what my wife craved, packed with salty sweet flavor, crunchy bean sprouts and tangy green onion. Simple preparation with all the items removed. The restaurant was about to close and the staff was relaxed and friendly. I realized that's why he didn't even ask for a name. Super solid and deserves all 5 stars for more than meeting our expectations.
(The Tupperware was mine, used as a bowl for the curry)
Dietary restrictions: Their web interface didn't accept any modifications, but calling in it wasn't a problem. I could see it getting tough asking for mods on to go orders during a busy dinner service.
