I drove there specifically based on a google search indicating it was a good place to get vegan pastries. They only had two items, a brownie and an oatmeal bar. Needless to say I left disappointed and empty handed.

When we arrived there was a line out the door. I've never been, but understood why. The food is incredibly delicious. The service is great, so the line moves at a healthy pace.

Great place to hang out or work/study. The Graham Slam Latte is amazing!!! The bagel breakfast sandwich was also good for Arizona. Don't expect it to taste like you're in NYC.

Food is 4.5 stars. Place is too small, very crowded, awkward order pickup. Note pastries and drinks come out on ordering side, foods comes out on cafe side. Cafe was cramped and tables ridiculously small. That being said the food and pastries are delicious. Chicken salad on croissant was incredible. Egg salad was good too but the wheat bread overpowered the filling, would be twice as good on white bread. Gooey Butter Bar is amazing and the coffee cake too. We both enjoyed our coffee drinks. We have now been frequenting the drive through location on Cotton and Greenway.

*UPDATE 2026* After remodel it is absolutely gorgeous. Croissants and cinnamon rolls are better than ever. A must... for anyone visiting Surprise.
Every single time I come here it's a treat in every way! The coffee is phenomenal, the breakfast is so good (I recommend the quiche or the sweet heat breakfast sandwich). On top of that the service is always quick and courteous. I also really enjoy the atmosphere when I actually have the time to sit down.

This coffee shop definitely gives you a small town local business feel, you’re inclined to check out the goods from the local artisans while you wait a ridiculous amount of time for a simple latte; only to have it served with allergens and a disrespectful, no care in the world, attitude! Not only do you have to reiterate the point of cross contamination but if you ask Emily pouring out half the latte and adding ice fixes everything!!! The lack of true employee accountability and customer care is going to be deadly for somebody!!! Don’t waste your time or risk your health!!!
