Overpriced and not worth it. So many good steakhouses in town this is just not worth visiting. The food was not good, my husband ordered the porterhouse “rare+” and it was closer to medium well. The mushrooms and potatoes were SOOO salty. The server was a bit abrasive, but I will say the wine was very good. Will not go back

We decided to revisit Capitol Grill for our annual New Years dinner and to put a cap on the holiday season. We got there early and we were happy to sit at the bar but they seated us immediately. We got to the table and we were greeted by several of the restaurant staff. Heather, our waitress was absolutely outstanding and patient. She actually coursed our meal and made every accommodation we requested. The food was as good as it gets. My wife had the Waygu filet and I had the bone in filet. Both were outstanding. As usual, a meal to remember. The Pear and Gorgonzola salad with the brown butter vinaigrette was the star of the evening. You need to try this......

We had a reservation at 10:00 PM on New Year's Eve and were seated around 9:55, which we appreciated. Our server was knowledgeable and polite, and we enjoyed the lobster crab cake appetizer along with the salmon and lamb Oscar-style for our entrées. This was our third visit between the Scottsdale and Phoenix locations and my fifth visit, and the food quality itself continues to be solid. That said, the overall experience was disappointing. Service felt both rushed and slow at the same time. Our appetizer took about 20 minutes to arrive, and our entrées took close to 40 minutes, finally coming out around 11:00 PM. While we understood the restaurant was closing and chose to take our food to go out of respect, the pacing made the night feel chaotic rather than enjoyable. Additionally, our au gratin potatoes did not arrive with the rest of the food and were brought out separately. The manager did remove them from our bill, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, during service, a fork was dropped on me by the server, resulting in having to dry clean my dress pants. Overall, while the food was good and staff intentions seemed positive, the long wait times, rushed atmosphere, and service mishaps took away from what should have been a special New Year's Eve dinner.

My wife and I celebrated our 19th anniversary last night at The Capital Grille in Phoenix, and it was truly the best experience we've ever had there — and we've been regulars for years. From the moment we were seated, everything felt special. Our table had a handwritten anniversary card and a rose waiting, which was an incredibly thoughtful touch and immediately made the evening feel personal and memorable. Our server, Susan White, was outstanding. She struck the perfect balance of attentive and relaxed — never rushing us, always kind, and completely on point with every detail. We started with a great bottle of wine and some appetizers that were delicious. Both of our steaks were cooked perfectly, and every dish arrived at just the right time. The meal was flawless from start to finish. A special thank-you to Jennifer, the manager, who stopped by to check in with us. She's a fantastic leader — warm, engaging, and very detail-oriented. She asked specific questions about how our steaks were prepared, even reacting with “Oh, that looks amazing,” which showed she genuinely cares about the guest experience and the quality of the food being served. To top it all off, we received a complimentary dessert, which made the night feel even more appreciated and celebrated. Susan and Jennifer both made a meaningful impression on us. They are exceptional at what they do and truly elevate The Capital Grille to another level. Thanks to them and the entire team for making our 19th anniversary unforgettable.

We had a birthday dinner here last night at 8:30 for 9 guests and our experience was phenomenal! Every aspect was executed well, food was great, and we did not feel rushed at all by the staff (which was amazing). Our server Monce and her server assistant Gabriel took amazing care of our party. Monce was nice,  knowledgeable on the menu, offered detailed service and great suggestions for our party. I've been to other Capital Grille locations in other states and this location stands out on top. A huge thank you to all the staff for our experience!

The prosciutto wrapped mozzarella and lobster bisque were superb appetizers. The fillet and New York strip were perfect and the selection of California cabs was wonderful.
We went for the Wagyu and Wine event and it was fantastic! The food was prepared perfectly and the wines were amazing! Great value and a great date night event!

The kitchen isn't cookin' on all cylinders; from over cooked steaks to cold sides and overcooked lobsters, all was not normal. Staff was, as always, professional and tried to make good...but the kitchen fell well below standards.

It was what we've come to expect from this steakhouse. They have perfect food and service with a pretty hefty price, however not any higher than comparable restaurants. The filet and lobster tail were delectable. The peppers served with the fried calamari were divine. Lobster mac n cheese - as always, on point! Thx for a great time.
