Ordered 3 tacos and a beer. The beer was served right away, the tacos 80 minutes later. Thought that was a bit of an excessive wait.

This used to be my favorite spot until recently. I refer people there like crazy, meet friends there multiple times in a week until a few weeks ago. The accuracy of the orders went away, their burrito portion shrunk in half but the price remained the same. The woman cooking the food was so kind and friendly. Now every time I go in I'm met with poor attitudes. It's not uncommon to wait 30+ minutes for one burrito to be made. The chips are constantly burnt now. Last night I ordered three burritos and chips, I waited OVER AN HOUR for my food only to get home and realize literally nothing that I paid for was in my bag. I went back 10 minutes before closing and Sarah (the employee with the poorest attitude and customer service skills) immediately says that she will refund my order. No apology, no offer to make it right, it was 9pm and every decent restaurant is closed. I don't want a refund I want what I paid and waited for. She then informs me that "this isnt my fault, you ordered with someone else and she rang it up wrong". My order was not entered wrong and the amount I paid did not match the items that Sarah gave me. I DONT CARE WHO IS AT FAULT- I WANT WHAT I ORDERED AND PAID FOR. Sarah is completely useless for her position. I will never return and will spend the rest of my life telling people to avoid this place at all costs

A burrito so bold, so richly divine,
Grilled to perfection with flavor that shines.
Wrapped in a char with a savory kiss,
Each bite delivered pure edible bliss.

Inside it danced, a warm, spicy song,
With meat and with cheese where nothing went wrong.
Potatoes and beans in a saucy delight,
My taste buds were singing deep into the night.

Then came the IPA, golden and bright,
With hops that sparkled like stars in the night.
It cut through the richness with citrusy grace,
A match made in heaven, a true sweet embrace.

The bar had a vibe that was chill through and through,
With a midtown calm and a cool local crew.
A giant wood table, wide as a stream,
Perfect for parties or big dinner dreams.

So here’s to the feast, the drink, and the place,
Five shining stars in this flavorful space.
If burritos were royalty, this one’s the king.
I’d write this review again just to sing.

My wife and I held our farewell party at The Green Woodpecker. Not only is this one of my favourite bars in Phoenix (for its relaxed atmosphere, indoor/outdoor combo and lack of TVs), but the manager was super friendly and easy to work with. Thank you! We’ll be back and we’ll do more events here!

I was looking for a spot for a casual hang for a big group and The Green Woodpecker came through! They were happy to accommodate us and the big table in the middle of the space was perfect for 20 or so people to come and go. Everyone enjoyed the beer, wine and food.

34 minutes for a burrito is too long to wait.

I go here every Friday and absolutely love this place! Plenty of canned and tap beer to choose from. Excellent authentic tacos. Free chips and salsa. Ask for Linda (bartender). She is amazing and always has an upbeat, positive attitude.

My first time going there no one was there to seat me. Waited 30 minutes for someone to come to my table no one did. The bartender and another guy were just standing there talking the whole time no one else was even in the restaurant. The absolute worst customer service I've ever seen at a place of business. I heard good things but I definitely will not be returning.

The tacos were SO GOOD. Fresh handmade tortillas and the pastor was so tasty. I'm not usually big on carne asada but it was so flavorful here. Definitely coming back!

5 stars all around! Tacos were great, chips and salsa were great, and I loved the ambiance. Will be back again!

It was quiet, but at an odd 4:00 hour. Very cute set up! Heat lamps outside… it was a bit chilly today. Beer, wine, and tacos. ( and flowers which I think is just so sweet!) There was good music playing on the overhead. Walk up service is available from outside or there’s a small bar inside. Also lots of to go items available. The very kind bartender/server let me sample four beers before choosing one! Altogether super cute place!

The service was terrible. No communication and the server wouldn’t make eye contact.
It would’ve been nice to get a warning on how long it’s going to take to get our food. After we watched people who order after us, get there food before us and it was aggravating. We left without eating.
