Went for restaurant week, only 3 courses and less expensive. Great service, food very good, portions small. Likely the normal size they make for the 5 and 8 course menus. We got the wine pairing, enjoyed the wines. Stopped for a bite on the way home as we were still hungry.
Went during Restaurant Week. The chef knows his spices and they make his food. We had his Hoppin John, Asparagus Salad, Iberico Pork, and Citrus Pound Cake. All excellent. Atmosphere is mellow and garden view perfect. You can talk easily and not be drowned out by noise. We will return.
This was an excellent dining experience. We tried all of the food options for the three-course Restaurant Week menu, plus the wine pairing. The restaurant is small, creating a cozy and intimate ambiance along with charming low lights and elevated farmhouse decor. The servers were friendly and attentive. The music selection was surprisingly delightful with some R&B in the mix. The highlight of each course for us was the asparagus with truffle aioli and crispy bacon to start, and the pork skirt steak with zhoug for the entree. The dessert poundcake was good, though it didn't blow me away. All in all, we can't wait to go back for the 5- or even 8-course tasting menu!!
We had a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable. The food was varied, interesting, and delicious. We definitely recommend it for anyone interested in it fixed Price dinner. We will be back for more.
We had a great experience! Delicious food, and really fantastic wine paring. Highly recommend!
Excellent food made with farm fresh ingredients. Very professional staff. Very well worth every minute and penny.
Last Sunday we were fortunate to be able to have great Sunday brunch with Chef Stephen Jones at The larder and the Delta. His tasting experiences have always been first rate and he has expanded his offerings to family get-togethers on Wednesdays and brunches. Regardless of the format, the service is always attentive and professional and the food is innovative and delicious! Definitely recommend reservations! Check out the menu and pics!
I booked reservations after having this restaurant on my try list for some time. Upon arriving the front reminded me of an old house. After parking finding the front entrance is somewhat confusing as there isn't a name on the front door, signage or a way to designate the front doors. After entering I was greeted by a bartender with a welcome cocktail. While the cocktail tasted good there wasn't Name or description provided for the drink and it seemed incomplete without a garnish. The bartenders attire, a Hawaiian blouse, reminded me of a dive bar and not a fine dining restaurant. Upon seating in the dining room, which was intimate with an open kitchen concept, the ambiance was nice. The server never introduced themselves, provide beverage recommendations or upsell on any of the accompaniments that were on the booking form of open table. There wasn't a menu on the table as well. The first two courses were described as snacks and they both tasted good, however the asparagus course was difficult to eat with a tablespoon. The radish and butter dish presentation could have been presented in a way to exemplify fine dining, it lacked salt and acid to cut through the fatty elements of the butter which coated your palette. The pork cheek and the rice were the highlights of the evening, both exemplifying bold flavors. For a five courses dinner with two beverages I would anticipate to pay a minimum of $250 per person without beverages. Overall the food was good, the service and consistency of a fine dining experience are a work in progress.
Excellent food and service. Very good selection of weekly specials and Chef Stephan does southern food incredibly.

If you're in the neighborhood, you can't go wrong with a family-style meal at The larder + the delta! Today's Niman Ranch Lamb supper was an absolutely exceptional team effort! Every homemade dish was amazing and the lamb was hands-down the best we've had! Thank you, Chef Stephen Jones and crew!
Phoenix is extremely fortunate have a such high caliber restaurant. We enjoyed walking around the outdoor herbal garden before sitting down for our meal. We went to breaking bread meal on Wednesday night (4 course) and loved it so much, we returned for a Sunday brunch. The food is incredible and portions are generous with fresh ingredients. The place is charming and romantic and would be a great place to celebrate a special occasion. Service is outstanding and very accommodating with dietary restrictions. We would definitely return again to try other dining options. There is free on-site parking.
This was an exceptional dining experience, and I was so pleased with how much reverence and care was taken with the food. Amazing service, charming atmosphere and a one of a kind dining experience.
Been a fan of the chef since he graced the Phoenix area with his talents many years ago, and as such have seen him work within the constraints of everything from executing a four star hotel restaurant menu, doing food court style low country comfort food noshed off of bar stools, to his own open kitchens done his own way. I've seen him launch careers by nurturing local talent, providing space for pop-up dinners and guiding them through a service. Consistently, every time I've had the pleasure, there's always been a dish served that drops an involuntary hush over the table when tasted; it's usually something humble, a braised vegetable and rice or similar, but elevated, such that even if you're not a gourmand, you know you've just had something in its best possible form. That's just a small part of what he means, I think, when he says "make it nice." So I'm always a little floored by one of his meals, and specifically in this space I'm also grateful for the ease of service and how everyone you encounter is finely attuned to your comfort. If you're looking for culinary skill, inventiveness, and gracious hospitality, you've got it all here.
What a great experience. We went for a 1 week late Valentines Dinner and they made it fun, comfortable, delicious, warm, friendly, helpful....just great! The food is complex but is is very easy to eat and enjoy. You should be aware that each course is very small portions but we ended up eating more than plenty. I did not have enough room for the very interesting dessert.
