Feeling hungry and wanted quick bite and drink, so popped into The Other Bar and found an easy going vibe, pleasant staff, good service, and the food is wonderful. Not bar food! Real food in a sports bar vibe. Come for the entertainment, including live music, and stay for the food.

Longtime regular here, Not sure what is going on with the Other Bar these days, but it was so bad tonight that I had to review. I'll give the highlights. Slow service, as usual because as Others have said.. 'bar staff can't be bothered'. Strange too because there were 8 people there on a Friday at 5:30. Usually this place is packed. Server was probably new so I gave him a break on his ability to forget our simple drink orders. He also forgot to put our food order in and then disappeared for 20 minutes. He did remember the water order though but that was 30 minutes late ug.. When the food did come it was wrong and by that time I was hangry. We ate. Dropped $95+ and left with quite a bit of anger. That's a lot of money I could have spent and had a glorious night somewhere else. I'm thinking this place is done. Obviously it takes back seat to the the new place. Pretty sad about it because for years it was a great little spot. Too much turnover in staff and no real management. Goodbye Other Forgotten Bar.......We won't be back.

7/13/24: so glad we finally decided to try The Other Bar (inside Luci's Marketplace). Excellent service, decent prices, happy every day from 3 - 6, what more do you need? ;-)
Aside from the parking in the front (off Bethany Home), there is a large lot in the back. We arrived shortly after opening (3 o'clock) and there were only two patrons beside us. Two young ladies for the staff, both pulling double duty as bartenders and servers. Thank you, Paige & Portia, for the exceptional service and smiling faces.
My sister enjoyed her brussels sprout appetizer (gross), while I tasted the tater towers. They weren't the towers I was expecting, but they were very good: well seasoned, crispy outside, moist inside, with a tangy chipotle cream. I think they needed more of the green stuff on the side, though -- whatever it was, it was a good accompaniment.
My sister ordered the $12 Ruff Rider cocktail. We both were shocked when it was delivered, because it was twice the size we were expecting. Considering the happy hour cost was $10, it was a tasty beverage and money well spent.
The Figgy Piggy Burger was cooked longer than the medium sister requested but she said she would get it again. Her fries could have been a bit more crispy IMHO.
The Daily Grind I ordered was good with plenty of meat protein. I was happy to see the ciabatta bun was not overly thick and therefore did not overpower the sandwich's flavor. The potato salad was a pretty hefty servicing for a side, plus the dill in the mixture added a nice flavor.
We will definitely make it back to The Other Bar, their breakfast / brunch menu looked just as wide ranging as their lunch / dinner menu -- and just as tasty.

we have been here many times but tonight, there were at most 8 people inside including one person at the bar. the two girls behind the bar couldn't be bothered. they definitely saw us and, completely ignored us. we waited for 20 minutes and they ignored us. one person walked in and went to the bar and they whipped out a menu and got him a drink. so we got up and left and went to one of their competitors. and spent more than we would have at the other bar in tipping the sever. since the staff clearly couldn't be bothered to help us, we will definitely spend our money some where else.

We went on a Sunday afternoon with my family. Stood at the door because it looked more like a bar, and there were about 6 people at the bar. One of the two bartenders told us we can sit where ever we like. My wife asked if kids were ok here. She said yes definitely, take a seat. We sat for 15 minutes. We were not even offered a menu much less water. Had to get my own high chair for my little one. My other two kids were quite on their tablets. We kept looking back at the two people working the bar to let them know we have been waiting. They ignored us completely. A couple sat at the bar way after we had been waiting for 15 minutes, got their drinks right away, while we were still being ignored. We got up and left, to add insult to injury, the same one who greeted us, told us in a very snarky way “ohh Thank you coming in” while she had a smirk on her face. We felt very disgusted, like we had done something wrong. Would not recommend to families.
Super cool spot to grab a drink. We randomly stopped in and there was a violinist playing all modern fun music. Will be back!
