Bear and Morgan are the best bartenders in the Melrose area!! Always love going there and have a good time at a safe space for everyone. The drag shows are always amazing and a fun time. Playpen is such a great event, the hosts and dj are awesome. So excited to come watch Playpen jr. especially with the 2025 Arizona snow queen having a fundraiser

Honestly, I feel really bad for giving this bar a bad review. The performance of the queens was really awesome, and we really had a good time.
Unfortunately, the bartender decided we’ve had enough right before our second round. That’s right, BEFORE our second round. He handed me the beers, and told me that would be it for the night. At like 8:30pm.
I thought I misunderstood, so later I asked “did you mean you needed to see my ID” or “did you meen you ran out of this brand” but no, he really meant 2 was enough.
We’ve seen someone pass out/be asleep on this bar bc of how drunk he was (again: 8:30PM) but we were the people who had to leave. It’s not my kind of thing to make drama out of this, so I told the bartender we were just gonna leave, and that we did really have a great time. I also told him there was someone in need in the back.
To conclude, there are 2 thing I sincerely hope: - no one out of our community should be treated this way. If a young and shy guy walked in and got this, it could be life changing. - I also hope the bartender gave this guy in the back the proper attention he needed. If the bartender really had his bar bar under control, he would have noticed the real issues before sending us out.
PS: we had an amazing time at Stacy’s where we were very welcome. Great night after all. Yet again: huge shoutout again to the queens at this bar. Was great, only the bartender who kicked us out (honest mistake perhaps?) should review his case.

We actually had a good time at the show tonight. This was the first stop on our night. Sadly the bartender decided that 2 beers was enough and we couldn’t get any drinks. Which is weird seing there were people asleep on tables from drinking too much. But sure two beers was the limit for us. Everybody is welcome except if you look too skinny to hold your licour it seems. This bad service kinda ruined our first night in this city.

A staple in the Phx Queer scene but cancelling Ego Death will probably one of their biggest mistakes. I sincerely hope management comes to their senses.

My wife and I decided to check out the local lgtb scene and saw this place had a drag show. Our mistake for not realizing what time the show started so instead we sat out in the bar area and had a good time still. The staff were all so nice and friendly.
And this is where the 5 stars, for me personally comes in, not only for the game shows on the TV (I'm a big game show junky) whoever was in charge of the music was playing Knocked Loose and Dance Gavin Dance, I never expected to hear them in the wild let a lone a gay bar.

The rock is great LGBTQIA+ spot to catch a show and enjoy some live entertainment. They have great happy hour deals and food next door. I do wish the layout was different as it can feel very broken up which is great for a nightclub but the rock is a bar vibe. One day I hope a metro line is added to 7th so I can bar hop the gay bars easier. The best bar in Melrose to socialize with others!

I went for a drag show. I didn't order any drinks or food. It's a typical dark bar nothing special. Old vinyl seats, very dark so your bad decisions can't be seen. I probably wouldn't go back since I don't drink.

We set up a Pop-Up at Rock Phoenix and it was awesome! The support was great, the patrons were nice, the employees were engaged and fast! We'll be back again soon to serve Arizona's Best Lumpia!
