The Tamale Store is a true gem and officially one of my favorite eateries now.
I first visited its Phoenix location in person last July and have placed two FedEx orders since then, with each one just as delicious as the last. The gluten-free, vegan tamales are generously portioned and bursting with flavor. Shipping is expeditious and everything arrives fresh and ready to enjoy.
If you haven’t tried them yet, do it. You won’t be disappointed! :)

Don’t believe the hype. Just being honest. Food was ok. Rice good, beans lack flavor. Tamales are thick masa. Salsa was good. Green Chili good but not good enough to return.
Wait staff who brought our meal practically threw it on table. We asked a question and she snapped walked away. Very rude

In the past years the tamales have been awesome. 2021 the ratio to masa and meat is ridiculous. Where's the meat.

Closing time was a pretty subdued time of day, especially for a Fri night. Ok since it was a to go meal. Tamales for tonight, and a few for the future, even some for family pups!!

Tamales are big, tender and lots of filling. Sides were ample and everything was served hot and fresh. The owner, Edwardo, is delightful and also amusing. Only thing that could have been better is if the corn were grilled. Hint hint???

I ordered the chilaquiles with tamale and beans. The portion was big, the flavor was really good and everything was fresh. Definitely coming back.
We were excited to eat here considering it was our first time, but unfortunately, we were left disappointed. The potatoes were bland with no chorizo flavor. The beans tasted like they are from a can. The tamale tasted flat and the flavor doesn't follow through. Last but not least, they don't offer coffee to order, only at certain times, which is odd for a Mexican-esque eatery. Will not be returning
