The owner Bridget is COMPLETELY rude!!! Never have I ever had an interaction with a person who was rude. Especially since I was there enquiring about employment. I'll never go back there again.

What an umexpected treat! The atmosphere is definitely Dive Bar, but the food, drinks and service were awesome! The crispy Korean Tacos were perfect. We'll definitely be back

Walked in excited by the menu. I was turned away immediately because I was with my fully licensed and legal service dog. This is against the law. Thanks.

This bar has the best atmosphere and amazing food. We just got back from vacation there and had to go to the bar twice.

The Tav is my go to place! Always a good vibe, great food and fun stuff going on pretty much nightly like Karaoke or trivia. Even on nights without anything going on, The bartenders make you feel like nothing is missing! Danny, Ed ,Ali and Dalton are amazing. If you’re looking for a fun little dive with kind locals, I highly recommend stopping In.

The service here was amazing! These people are super nice welcoming and inviting. You can tell it's a local dive bar we didn't try any of the food this time but you could tell the food was pretty good quality for dive bar food. Definitely going back for a burger or a sandwich. If you're in the area I would definitely give this place a try.

Tav definitely has the “Dive Bar” atmosphere. Service is slow on Saturday and Sunday evenings.

It Used to be great. Took friends and family for some darts and good prices in a fun atmosphere. The new males behind the bar are not fun to be around. I won't be returning.

The Tav Address 22034 N 19th Ave Phoenix,
On August 16, 2025, at approximately 11:21 a.m., my spouse and I, accompanied by another couple and our service dog, entered The Tav located at 22034 N 19th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85027. We were seated in a booth. Several minutes later, a woman who identified herself as the owner approached our table in an aggressive manner and stated, “I was told you have a dog.” I responded, “Yes, I have a service dog.” She then asked, “Where is it?” I informed her that the dog was under the table. She replied, “Service dogs don’t sit under tables.” As she turned to leave, I asked, “Are you asking us to leave?” She responded, “Yes.” I then clarified, “Are you asking us to leave because I have a service dog?” She again stated, “Yes,” and walked away. I attempted to provide her with a business card explaining the applicable federal civil rights law regarding service animals, but she refused to face me. I then gave the card to the bartender, who stated she would place it in the office. I informed her, “It is against federal law to violate our civil rights because we have a ser vice dog.” She replied, “Okay.” Believing the issue resolved, I returned to the table. After waiting approximately 10 minutes without being provided menus, I approached the bartender to re quest them. At that time, the owner reappeared and stated to her staff, “Ignore them.” When I asked what the problem was, she replied, “I called the police.” We prepared to leave. As we exited, I asked the owner, “Did you really call the police?” and began recording video. The owner then engaged in a verbal tirade, stating, “You’re assholes, and I don’t want you as cus tomers.” She further attempted to involve other patrons by loudly asking, “Does anyone want them here?” We left the restaurant and waited outside. I contacted the Phoenix Police Department non-emergency line to inquire whether a call had been placed. The dispatcher confirmed a call had been made and a notice sent out, but no officer had yet been dispatched. When I asked if I should wait, I was told that was my decision. I re quested to leave a call-back number so that the responding officer could contact me upon arrival, but was in formed that was not permitted. I also inquired about a log number for either the phone call or the dispatch and was told none was available. I was advised that I could request information through the Public Records Department if an officer ultimately responded and filed a report. At approximately 11:57 a.m., we departed the premises and proceeded to another restaurant

Visited on August 16, 2025 . Party of four with a trained service dog. After we were seated, the woman who said she was the owner confronted us about the dog, then ordered us to leave because of it. We were never given menus; she told staff to ignore us. As we walked out, she shouted profanity at us and announced she’d called the police, even trying to rally other patrons against us. The treatment was humiliating and openly hostile. If you travel with a service animal—or simply expect basic respect—avoid this place.

Love this place! Food is great, they have a very interesting and creative menu. My only complaint is that they LOVE their karaoke here. WHY does everyone think they can sing? OMG!

Always a good time here. Depending on who you get at the bar, service can be great or mediocre. The male bartender is mediocre at best. We had the dry rub wings and they were fantastic.
