Sweet Temptations After reading all the positive Yelp reviews I had to give The Velvet Buttercream Bakery a try and I'm so glad I did. This place has decadent sweet temptation that will satisfy everyone's sweet tooth. This is diffently a hidden gem. Upon entering the bakery you are greeted by staff. I couldn't help but notice all the beautiful treats displayed. What I really enjoyed was the staff are right there making orders, and you can view everything. I just stood and watched, as these delicious treats were being created. On this visit we ordered a variety of cupcakes, cheescakes, and Cannolis, and everything was spot on delicious. The cakes were moist and flavorful as was the toppings. The perfect ratio of cake to topping. The Velvet Buttercream is truly a hidden Gem. Stop by, you will not be disappointed. If your looking for delicious desserts, very friendly staff, this is the place. I highly recommend them to everyone.

I was meeting a friend for an early dinner that no longer lives here in AZ, so I stopped by this adorable bakery and was NOT prepared for the amazing experience! Chef Aaron was with another customer as I walked in, but took a moment to welcome me in and thank me upfront for coming I had time to study the shop, peek in the back and was highly impressed by the quality of the treats displayed, the beautiful photos of his family that told his story without question and how amazing clean and professional this bakery is! I decided to get 4 different cupcakes for my friend, and one mini cheesecake for myself! WHEN I TELL YALL THAT I BOUGHT THE TREATS SATURDAY AND DIDNT EAT MY CHEESECAKE UNTIL SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY THEEEEE BEST CHEESECAKE I'D EVER HAD PLEEEEASE BELIEVE ME!!! I am so happy that I stumbled upon this amazing little gem, I look forward to supporting Chef Aaron going forward and I hope that everyone else stops by to treat themselves to a little sum'sumthin sweet soon from VBC Bakery!!!

So happy I chose this bakery! My family flew into phoenix from all over the country to celebrate my husband's 40th, I had a custom cake made by Aaron and I was not disappointed at all!! I worked with Elaine on exactly what I wanted and Aaron executed it perfectly! We had the chambourd infused chocolate with chocolate ganache...omg...so good! If we are ever in phoenix again, I will definitely be stopping by! Thank you so much Velvet Buttercream!

There are not enough words to praise this business. The cake was absolutely delicious - we couldn't stop eating it. We had lemon cake with raspberry mouse between the layers. Chef Aaron was generous with his time in working with us to get the design we wanted and it turned out perfectly. Exactly what we wanted. On top of all that, the pricing is extremely reasonable, especially compared to other businesses in the area. If you need a cake, THIS is the place to get it!

Stopped by and grabbed a few different thing. My favorite was the Red Velvet cupcak. The macarons were so good! Nice little bakery with the nicest owner. He was baking and told me it was his dreams come true opening his own bakery! You can taste that passion in his sweets and bread. go check them out!

The female staff was fairly nice. The baker wasn't as friendly. My cupcakes were a little dry; however, the red velvet dessert was really good.

The process to order a custom cake was so easy and they were fast to respond. The store itself is tucked away in a large parking lot but it was easy to find. The cake was delicious! Was told by my friend that this was the best birthday cake they've ever had. Thank you for making my vision into a reality! We got the chocolate cake with raspberry compote and buttercream frosting. 10/10!

I'm pretty sure I know what heaven smells like. This store. Omg. I've been twice and let me tell you, the selection, is amazing. The staff is wonderful and helpful and the whole place is just delicious. The cheesecake, chocolate decadence, lavender lemon cupcake and everything here is just over the top good. I sent a photo of what I wanted it to look like and the flowers were smallish, and scattered all over the cake in different styles, colors and techniques. When I received this cake the 1st time, there were only a few flowers, they were much larger and in brighter colors and I didn't love the style of them. I didn't really want to but i did call and ask if they would be able to add some more flowers and they were pleasant and agreed so my partner brought it back and they added more. I'm definitely glad I did because it looked much much better the second time around, still not exactly what I hoped for but I did feel much more satisfied. As far as the cake its self, we did feel it was very icing heavy and would have been more enjoyable with more cake, but the icing was very good! The cake was good but not great.
