Came here with my girlfriend and there were at least 4 tables available. The host said it would be a 20-25 minute wait so we waited. A white couple then came to be seated and the host told them they had a few open tables and they would be seated in a couple minutes. I asked again how long it would be and the host told me 20-25 minutes again. I checked online for the waitlist and there was no waitlist with seats available. When we left for a couple minutes to put my name in the online waitlist and came back in, I told them there was no one else in the waitlist and then we were sat down. The drinks were okay and the waitress was very nice. Not sure if the hosts were being racist but probably we won't be returning.

Aaahhhh!!!!! My option still stands, all of the food is ssssooo good! My thought is that the only thing you wouldn’t like is if you order something you already don’t like. Our server was attentive to our group. For a Friday night happy hour/supper the kitchen was faster than expected. Classy spot without feeling over the top, great music.

I had the pleasure of dining at The Genuine (6015 North 16th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85016) for the first time during our Board of Directors annual dinner, and it was a fantastic experience. From the outside, it has an upscale hole-in-the-wall feel, but once inside, it’s swanky, sophisticated, and classy—a perfect mix of modern and inviting.
The restaurant delivers an elevated dining experience, built around Chef Jeremy Pacheco’s shareable wood-fired cuisine. Our private room reservation at 6 PM made for a seamless evening, and the food was absolutely delicious. The menu features Chef-inspired weekly specials, a weekday happy hour, a dedicated weekend brunch, and daily specials—ensuring there’s always something new to try.
The Genuine also offers a fun atmosphere with bocce ball, DJs, and great cocktails, making it a lively neighborhood hangout. I was even tempted to return for their $5 cocktails on Thursdays—a deal worth checking out.
The only reason for four stars instead of five? I wish I lived closer! This spot has great potential to be a regular go-to. I’ll definitely be back.

Went on an early Saturday afternoon. At the time of sitting down there was only a few other tables in the building. It took well over 35 minutes to get our food (pizza and pancakes.) My pizza was luke warm when it arrived. Our waitress checked on us 30 seconds after delivering our food and we didn’t see her again for at least 45 minutes. We watched the tables around us (who we shared a waitress with) get their food within minutes of them ordering and even saw a table sit, order, eat, and leave before we were able to get our check. I really wanted to like this place but the service was not it.

We had a fantastic dinner at The Genuine tonight! Our waitress, Annie truly made the experience exceptional. Every time she stopped by, she knew exactly what to say, making us feel so welcomed and well taken care of. She was incredibly attentive and kind throughout the entire meal. And of course, the food was excellent as always, never disappoints! Highly recommend this place for great food and wonderful service!

The food was good, service was slow and it was not particularly busy. Nothing remarkable to return for.

I wanted to love this place but unfortunately it missed the mark. I went with a group of 10 for a Sunday brunch. We were excited for bottomless mimosas until we discovered it was pre-made orange juice with a splash of Prosecco. Recommend just ordering a bottle of Prosecco if you’re considering the bottomless option. The food was also disappointing. Everyone’s toast was burnt and one steak entree had to be sent back because it was so overcooked and burnt. The rest of the meals were just okay. Maybe it was the fact that they had a few large parties at the same time, but overall we were not pleased with the quality of food and drinks we received.

We had been to the restaurant a few years back and enjoyed it. Decided to try it again. The menu has great options so we were very excited to try it again for both our vegetarian and non-vegetarian party.
We had originally made a reservation for three people and then one member got sick so we ended up just coming with the two of us. Table arrangements were shifted around and we ended up being seated in the lounge area of the bar. Eventually, we got settled in and it really was a fun place to sit.
However, by sitting there, it appears that the bartender was also our waiter. He came immediately to take our drink orders. At the same time we placed our entire food order.
We had ordered the cottage fries and onion dip, and the beet salad as starters. We then ordered a margarita pizza and the salmon dish.
We were advised that my husband's salmon dish would take longer to come out and would we want everything to come out when it's ready. I said yes. Whatever was ready could just be brought out and we would enjoy both the food and the drink, though I assumed that at least the fries and the salad would take very little time and would be out shortly.
At this point, we waited for the food to be brought out, and after quite a bit of a delay, the salmon dish, which was supposed to take the longest, was brought out first. My husband enjoyed it immediately and didn't want to get cold. He said it was fantastic but again while he was eating that I was sitting and sipping my cocktail with no food in sight.
At this point, we were already waiting an hour. We arrived at 6:30 for our reservation and actually did not get anything more than the salmon dish by 7:30.
At that point, another bartender came over to check and see if we needed anything, and I mentioned that we had not received any of our food. She apologized and immediately went to check and then stated that she had notified the kitchen that we were waiting for our food. Our regular server/bartender also came by and informed us that there was a backlog with the pizza oven, which was also being used for other items. He also stated that the main chef was very upset with two other chefs that had recently been hired that were not moving at an appropriate pace, etc. I suppose it was good of him to come and let us know updates but it still took yet another 30 minutes for us to receive any food at all. And when it did come out, we were given our cottage fries and nothing else.
At this point, my husband and I just resigned to the fact that we would be sitting and waiting, so we ordered another drink. The Old-Fashioneds we ordered were very good. The server was apologetic and said he would take care of our appetizers for us given the fact that things were on such a delay. Mind you at this point we had already been at the restaurant for an hour and 40 minutes and had only received two of our four items.
Eventually, when we did receive our food, it was delicious. I have no complaints about the food at all. I completely enjoyed them. As I said, the Old-Fashioneds were delicious.
We ended on a delicious toffee date cake dessert and when the check came, our server had not only taken care of two of our appetizers, but also did not charge us for the old fashioneds that we ordered while we were waiting. We did not ask him to do this, but it was very gracious that he did and honestly quite appropriate given the amount of time that we waited for food.
I would just say that if we were going for drinks, then it makes sense to linger. But it was obvious we were ordering dinner and even then we should not be waiting an hour and a half before our first item comes out from when we ordered it. They clearly knew that there was a lot of delay in the kitchen and unfortunately, that is not a great look for the restaurant.
That said, my husband and I understood and took it in stride. The food again was fantastic and we will definitely be coming back. Just hope that the kitchen delays are iron

This place took over an hour to get our food to the table. The waitress was inattentive and there was nothing special about the food.

My son booked reservations for 7 they made accommodations for those of us who do not consume Alcohol but if we did they have an amazing selection and also a couple house specials. Now the food is Fanfreakingtastic just know they ran out of the main burger so have a back up dish just in case. Now most of us has half a Tandoori Chicken with fingerling potatoes and carrots (they added something to sweeten them) but make sure you add the lemon drizzled on it because it does bring out the flavor, if I drank I would have that with Red Wine
Vegetarian options: The staff are all amazing very polite
