My husband and I were staying at the resort on site and decided to dine here for the evening. This restaurant is absolutely stunning and the staff were exceptional. Our waiter was very nice and went out of his way to serve us. That being said, the food here was not our favorite. The fried plantains were absolutely delicious and my husband enjoyed his bass. I got the roasted purple yam and did not enjoy it. I wish the menu had been more upfront about the dish. The dish is described as having a queso sauce and a mole negro. The dish was absolutely covered in a cheese foam substance that depleted the flavors of the dish and I had more cheese sauce than I did potato. It also did not look very appetizing. My husband’s menu item also did not say it would have a foam on top. Our meal with tip came out to 97$, which was a little pricey for what we ate

What a surprise when we went to the JW Marriott! Great surprise to see such an amazing venue! The food and service was a 10 as well as the atmosphere and vibe! Unlike most
restaurants in Phoenix! We found that everyone was over the top hospitality amazing. We ordered the whole grilled trout and the manager Andrea even came out and filleted it table side and she did it beautifully. Never have we received such service at a restaurant! So welcoming, so kind, cant wait to come back!

Terrible experience, there was a poisonous lizard in my bathroom, I asked for a well medium steak and it was burnt! The miso black cod was nice. The worst thing was it looked like a motel in India!

Only think that was surprising the hours your kitchen closes and how early you close your restaurant 😮🤔🤨

we came as a family for dinner. The meal I had chicken thigh and veggies was like a stew but I just couldn't eat it. something in herb. Steak was good kids meal okay too. A glass waitress carrying fell on floor and shattered went into my hair and hit my sister in face. we were okay. moved to another table. asked if we were okay. how about offering a glass of wine or dessert. 200 dollars for the meal... menu needs to change abit..

We were really looking forward to trying Tia Carmen after seeing it featured by content creators, but the experience didn’t live up to the hype. The design and ambiance were beautiful, but everything else fell short.
No one greeted us or offered to seat us, but instead, we were immediately approached and scolded—possibly by a manager—in a way that felt tense and unwelcoming. We were told we couldn’t take “professional photos,” even though we’re not professional photographers—just content creators who genuinely wanted to support the restaurant. Sadly, the interaction left us feeling uncomfortable, and the rest of the visit didn’t make up for that first impression.
The staff felt cold and dismissive, and overall, it was an uncomfortable and disappointing experience. The food was okay, but the service and attitude ruined it for us.
Unfortunately, we won’t be returning or recommending this place to others.

It was an okay setting in a general buffet area of the hotel. The hotel lobby and grounds at the JW Marriott is very nice! They validated the parking. Breakfast food buffet was ok for the money. Service was excellent! The buffet area to get your food was a little crowded and a line at the omelette area. May pass going any time in the future and try other places.

The experience was amazing for me. The Customer service was spectacular. Drinks were fancy, strong and flavorful. Its a remodeled restaurant inspired by Tulum vibes. Will highly recommend this place. Will come back soon again. 😃

Dinner here was good but nothing special. The best dish we had was the grilled whole trout with parsley and oregano sauce- very fresh, simple, and delicious. The lamb ragu and the tuna crudo were good, but could have been skipped. The corn tostada was yummy and sweet. Overall felt the dishes were trying a little too hard, but good flavors.

I was so disappointed. I stayed at the JW Marriott and was expecting to have an amazing dinner at this restaurant with a view. I ended up with a piece of nail or plastic in my food. Server did apologize for the inconvenience, but I did not want to continue to eat the dish that contained the unknown item. Not sure I would consider this restaurant in the future or recommend it to anyone.
