Sat at bar for sunset hour. Food was great and the menu allows to try several items for a reasonable price. Bartender comped us a drink for my BD :) Looking forward to coming back for dinner outside.
One of our favorite brunch restaurants. The Mercado Experience is unlike any other brunch in Scottsdale. Of course, the scenery is spectacular at the JW. To make the experience the best, be sure to request an outdoor seat in one of the covered booths starting at 10:30am so you get to experience the change over from breakfast to lunch in the buffet 😉
We went for breakfast and the buffet was great. Lots of hot and cold items, including an omelet station.
After a hectic weekend, and canceled flights, dining at Tia Carmen was the best decision of the day! And having dined there prior, it was exactly what the tastebuds desired. The tasting menu satisfied every craving. From the first course to the last, the marriage of flavors were complex, yet once they hit the palate, each fresh ingredient danced with purpose. The staff was hospitable, attentive, and knowledgeable, and the familiar space awaited to greet you like that of warm hug. A double dessert was an incredible finish to this magnificent meal. Thank you Chef Sosa, to both yourself and your team for your graciousness. See you again soon!
Absolutely love this place! Great ambience, food, and service ! A wonderful breakfast/brunch spot !
The service and ambience are great. We had the chicken thigh meal and was very tasty. The appetizer was also very good. The only thing I would not order was the tostadas. It was very ordinary and overpriced.
The place is pristine, the decoration is thorough beginning from the setting to the dishes and drinks. Their menu selection is outstanding and one visit is not going to be enough to be satisfied. The mole dish took me to the food my grandma made. Their cocktails have a perfect balance and ratio of ingredients. Unfortunately, the acoustics of the place are not ideal, for I could not hear any music playing, the voices of the nearby tables was all that traveled through this ample space.
We were so disappointed to celebrate our new year eve in this so called upscale experience. Food was terrible cold , hamachi was totally burnt and cold . Pizza was cooked like u got it from supermarket and cold . Lobster pasta was just warm when serving. If I could give them zero star , I would .

Dated setting. Uncomfortable chairs. Hip hop music.Food was good, but overpriced! If you are going to charge that much, the experience and setting should spectacular!
Hearty breakfast buffet - especially enjoyed the make your own omelette, the beef birria and the guava agua fresca.

Best breakfast buffet I've ever experienced. Such a variety and food was fresh and delicious.
Our dinner at Tia Carmen on Christmas evening was disappointing. The menu was too complex for many diners. It felt like the chef was trying too hard to serve an outstanding meal. Sometimes, less is more. My husband ordered the pork chop understanding it would be served to a medium temperature. The chop was served at medium-rate at best. While he could have sent the pork chop back to the kitchen, the service was so slow it would have been disruptive for the rest of our table. My purple yams were smothered in so much queso that I could hardly find the yam. The desserts were the highlight of our three-hour meal. Don't misunderstand me, it wasn't a leisurely dinner, the restaurant was simply understaffed. Thumbs down.
AMAZING! Breakfast was the best buffet I have ever experienced! So many options, fresh and healthy! We had three days of this buffet and loved it! Service was personable, kind and just the right amount of attentive!

We went there for the jingle and the jw. We sat down around 6pm and didnt leave until 7:45. We ended up having to leave because it took to long sadly not even getting to enjoy the whole experience. The service was horrible. The lady who was our waitress we never saw. It took forever to get drinks. When we needed something no one was ever available. The food itself came out cold,. When server finally came and re ordered it came back again a second time cold. And it took her so long to come back to check once she came back she thought they still hadn't brought food, not even checking to see if they had. To order desert for our kids we had to ask a busboy. The dishes were all really spice if not cold. There was no communication on that, they would all come out spicy. Just not a good experience at all, Sadly. Food cold. Service bad, took way too long. All the things that would never have us coming back. Such a shame
45 dollar for valet parking even with validation at the JW Mariott during holiday season and non-valet parking is a long hike... insane. Pick a different restaurant while JW's Holiday event ishappening. Not worth the outrageous cover charge.
