One of the most exquisite Italian restaurants I've ever tried, rivaling even the food I had in the old country, as well as New York City's Italian restaurants.
Too bad it's closed, but I've already begun frequenting the other locations. They certainly don't disappoint.

We order 4 drinks, 1 table-order appetizer and 4 entrees. Except the lamb pasta, the rest were all super normal and we don’t think they matched the price.
Don't expect routine Italian cuisine norms. For example, there is no fettuccine Alfredo or spaghetti and meatballs. If you're going and expect something similar to Olive Garden you will be disappointed. If you like sea food and fresh pasta, this could be the place for you. Parking is an issue unless you valet park. Prices are on the high end.

Service was mediocre, they skipped our salads, mixed up the birthday girl’s order, their lasagna does not live up to the hype, and most entrees were just ok. I hope their next restaurant is better.
The valets need to learn to hustle, they left a car blocking the only way into the lot while there were open spaces to park in.
The chicken Parmigiano was really grisly. Service was top notch! Drinks were excellent and so was the dessert

Candidly, this place should be skipped and I’m shocked they’re opening a new location. Had a 7:45 reservation for Saturday night, showed up at 7:40 and wasn’t seated until 8:10. Wouldn’t be a problem if there was actual standing room to wait (there isn’t unless you want to go outside and miss getting your name called). They suggest going to the bar to wait but the bar was packed, too, making it an unreasonable option for the one bartender they have for 30+ patrons waiting at the door. So it was about 30 minutes of awkwardly being in the way of other diners and staff running around the restaurant.
Front of house desperately needs retraining. The pair working Saturday night was extremely disorganized and scattered. Biggest change they should make is stop taking reservations on OpenTable, it’s clear they allow too many to be booked at one time. It’s unfortunate that foh does no favors to the wait staff (which for a Saturday night was obviously understaffed) as they now have to deal with disgruntled customers who can’t get to the host booth without jockeying their way through a crowd.
Food was bad to mediocre. We had the salmon fettuccine special and the sauce was broken which lent to the consistency of a veggie and noodle cheese soup. The sauce was not creamy or thick as an Alfredo sauce should be. For a $30 plate of pasta, they make it much better at Olive Garden.
Drinks were good, hence the 2 stars. But very disappointed in this place and would advise others to not give this place the time of the day until the above is addressed, extremely unacceptable given the bounty of decent Italian fare in the valley.
Finally checked this place off the list before it closes after driving by for 17 years. Each plate is around the average price of other places. The portions are good size. The food had good flavor, but not wow factor. The atmosphere is chill. The service was the down fall… seemed like the waiter was in the weeds and the help took a break at the same time - even wasn’t busy. Empty glasses sat unattended for a good while till we had to ask - and then only one glass was filled. Didn’t even look over to the other water glasses or empty beer/cocktails. We even watched a person at another table take out a water bottle to use.
Classic and classy Italian eatery.
All the dishes are great - flavor, texture, authenticity, balance, presentation, etc.
The venue is a bit dated, given that the location is probably at the last corner of intersection that has gone through any exterior renovation to date. They are moving across the street soon though...

Delicious food, fabulous service, and great value for their final weekend of service! Everything from the herb butter and bread to the entrees, dessert & cappuccino hit the spot. Good luck with the new restaurant!
It was bitter sweet to eat for the last time at this Phoenix landmark of a restaurant. The food was fantastic as always, even to the last night of operation. This place will be missed, but like the Phoenix it will rise from tbe ashes and be reborn across the street hopefully in January 2024. Long live Tomoso's. Thank you for 46 wonderful years of service to the valley.
Went for my birthday and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The food was outstanding; best Italian food ever. All the staff were wonderful. Will definitely will be going to their new location.
This was a special this week, closing after today. They are moving across the street in 8 months and will be renamed IL MASSETO
