Unfortunately, in my sandwich was a dime size broken off piece of plastic from a bread bag tie. This is pretty much a "dive" restaurant, so I was nervous ordering and proved correctly. Great people, quality ingredients, but kept under poor conditions and no quality standards. Will not be returning.

My grandma is Italian and from Michigan. On her visit I took my mom and her there. They both had a blast searching the isles— revisiting childhood memories with brands and ingredients…true authentic Italian— while we waited for our yummy, fresh, hero!

This is a small Italian grocery store with an amazing deli. I’ve tried the pastrami sub and meatball so far. It does take a while to make the sandwiches but it’s worth the wait. Everything is fresh and the employees put a lot of love into the food. The staff is very friendly as well. My only complaint is that there may be a bit too much bread for the sub, but that’s just personal preference. Easily a 4.8/5.

This is my first time here as TID was recommended to me. Walking in you can tell it’s authentic, and offers everything you might be shopping for. I was reminded of a deli back in Chicago — Bari’s on Grand Avenue. I ordered their Italian special (Large $9.85), macaroni salad ($2.00), and a bottle of Dr Pepper. My friend had the Hero ($7.55). The total + debit card fee $1.00 came to $25.45. I’ll have to double check and see that I wasn’t overcharged. The sandwich is very good; having generous slices of salami, and capocollo. They added lettuce and tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese. It’s a big sandwich. They don’t cut it in half… so ask next time to see if they will. The macaroni salad is bland. No flavor as the dressing tasted of mayonnaise, and there wasn’t much of anything as celery, peppers, onions, etc. Just the noodles and taste of mayonnaise. The deli is cramped inside; no room for tables. Seating is available outside, and we had a nice day to sit and have lunch. The biggest issue here is no bathroom. You have to ask and use another business’s bathroom, and thankfully there was one. The coffee shop was closed, and the barbershop said no. If you come here, it’s best that you get your order ‘To Go.’ That is disappointing to see. Only other concern is parking. It can be limited depending on the time of day. The deli is in a strip mall that’s located by a busy intersection. If ever I’m in the area again I may stop in to grab a deli sandwich to go. If that salad was a touch better I would have scored TID higher. P.S. Of the cannolis in the case, the plain is alright. Its casing was a bit soft or soggy. The chocolate is much better.

Parking: Located by a busy intersection; and with limited parking. Might be a challenge during busy hours in the morning, and lunch time.

Great spot for sandwiches, desserts, and other goods. The tiramisu was amazing and the Italian hero was great with a side of the pasta salad as well. I always stop in when I’m around the area.

One thing I do not like is inconsistency, today was the third time I’ve had a sandwich from there and each time I got the hero and today I noticed there was olive loaf in the sandwich which both other times they put pickle loaf and when I called, they said if they run out of pickle if they put all olive loaf and I feel as a business They should let you know that because I’m allergic to olives, so I had to take it out and whoever I talked to was like it’s no big deal and to me as a business owner that should be a big deal because I could have got sick. And also bread was so dry. The first two times the sandwich was perfect this time it was terrible ?
