The best Jamaican food in Phoenix! Hands down! Food was so good I almost slapped my mama but she wasn’t here. My kids loved it and they are pretty picky like most kids these days. You have to stop in and try it for yourself! You won’t be disappointed.

Amazing Authentic Jamaican cuisine! Its just like eating on the Island! The Jerk is just like getting it from Portland (iykyk). The snapper so fresh. Stemmed veggies are blanched to perfection. Rice and Peas with everything! The Island Pasta 5 stars! Real scotch bonnet flavor! Food so good you will pull up every day for a meal! You can never just order one meal either. The Oxtail proper seasoning and the meat fall off the bone fire! The portions will serve a family with left overs! A weekly staple for me! Would add photos but the food is in my tummy! On my way now to pick up Curry Chicken and brown stewed chicken meals all for myself! 5 stars plus some!

Had lunch on Friday, the young man at the entrance ignored us for the first few minutes while on his phone, but then gestured for us to find a place to sit, he definitely did not want to be there lol. A lady came out and with a smile said she would be there shortly to take our order. The menu had changed from what we saw by recent pictures online and google reviews, but we had driven from Tucson and there was plenty we could choose from otherwise.
We had the beef patty, it wasn’t piping hot but flavor was ok. The escovitch whole fish was good, as was the ackee and saltfish although it could use some scotch bonnet. Their curry goat is delicious, rich and a huge portion. Their rice and peas wasn’t the greatest and they were out of ground provisions, the lady said it’s just used as a menu description for the ackee and saltfish, but it would have been nice to have some.
We have been to 5 different “Jamaican” restaurants in Phoenix in 2 years and Topnotch is the best we’ve had so far and we will probably be back knowing we have to drive over 2 hours from Tucson. Sorry I ate some of the ackee before I took the pics

I live in Central Phoenix, but I am willing to drive past all of the Jamaican restaurants in the area to get to Topnotch Island Flavor!
This was my first visit, and I ordered the beef patty, oxtails, cabbage, and rice and peas. Everything was finger, licking, good!!! The crust on the beef patty was light and flakey. The oxtails were delicious. The menu doesn't show that they are spicy, but they do have a bit of a kick to them. They aren't spicy, but they are well-seasoned. The cabbage was so good. I loved every bite. Everything was great, but the rice was excellent. The rice was moist and fluffy. The rice added to the meal it did not detract.
I had my mouth set on oxtails, but I would like to go back for some of the other items on the menu. They even have a lunch menu which offered reasonably priced items for lunch.
Can't wait to go back!

Saw the great reviews on Google as I was searching for a new lunch restaurant for my friends and me to try. Two of us had the Chicken Curry while another had Jerk Chicken. All of us really enjoyed our meals. And I liked the Caribbean slaw--very tasty. Definitely plan to return, probably for dinner.
