My family and i love eat tacos,we prefer eat Tacos in Mexico but in this place are so delicious, this place has a non spicy sauces and really spicy. Nice option for kids and older people.
I live nearby and was going to check it out this weekend. However, according to the Clarendon Hotel and Spa website, Cafe Tranquilo is closed permanently and they are looking for a new resident restaurant. So, with nothing to review, I have to sadly give it a one star review.
They have a very good breakfast burrito here. I had mine with the green salsa. The huevos rancheros are also very good but pretty spicy. The food at this place is simply fantastic. It is the best thing about staying at the Clarendon. The portions are a bit big but who cares. My family and I absolutely love the tacos here. We get all different kinds and eat them "family style" grab and devour! Highly Recommend.
Jalapeno infused tequila and bartenders who give a damn make it a great spot for me as a business traveler to grab a drink after a long day, The waitress last time showed me the gin collection which is quite impressive as well! We visited Tranquilo on our last day in Phoenix before heading back to the airport. Their classic margarita was great and so was all of our food. Definitely try the elote. It was very good and not something you can get everywhere. It seems like they do a lot of room service orders, so that may slow down the service a little. We weren’t in any hurry so we had no problem with the service. Overall, I would visit again the next time.
We stayed at the Clarendon and got a $15 voucher per person for breakfast. The wait staff was very attentive. The Huevos Rancheros were delicious, and the coffee was strong. Would totally suggest this place for breakfast.
Food was fantastic and the serving size perfect. The customer service by Maria was what you want. She was attentive, polite, smile on her face and knows her stuff. This restaurant is a big reason we stayed at this hotel again. Cant wait to try their other menu options.
Chilaquiles were amazing! Staff was excellent especially Maria our server..
Tranquilo is located at the Clarendon Hotel and I have been back a few times now. Tranquilo has a good Bar and Restaurant with a good mix of drinks and food items on the Happy Hour Menu. You have to try the Elote! Served in a mini cast iron pan and seasoned with the right amount of spices, cheese, and butter, and it comes hot off the grill. Tatse like you are eating it off the cob! Actually just had dinner at the restaurant for the first time with colleagues from work and everyone enjoyed their food. Great Service as well! There was also some live music too! Great ambiance, it's worth the visit. Recommend :)
I had a great time tonight, live music, good food and great drinks...Nicholas was our waiter and he was really attentive...thanks for a good Bday celebration and my free 1 night stay...

great tacos!!! Organica margarita was amazing!
Great breakfast. If you are staying a couple days try a few different things. We enjoyed our breakfasts at Tranquilo’s. Staff was amazing. Huevos rancheros was the best.
This pork belly burrito was my jam. $6 for chips and salsa was kind of egregious, especially when u was sitting alone at the bar. That’s borderline lose a star material but everything was great.
5 stars isn't high enough. Some of the best food ive ever had in my life ! Salsa is very hot if you get the chips and salsa. But they are amazing ! Fries are legendary.
The food was wonderful and our server, Nicholas, was one of the best we've ever had.
