Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I felt like a smoothie so I found this place on Google. Google says it is open till 9. I get there at 8:47 and a Asian kid walking from his car back twords the door tells me they are closed. I tell him you mean your not open till 9 and he goes ahead and walks in behind and low and behold the girls inside say they're closed. I said Google and your door say your open till 9. The girl tells me we already cleaned everything. I tell so your not going to make me a smoothie. She didn't answer and just ignored me. So I told her ok I will be sure to put this in my Google review. My problem is I think the three working their think it is perfectly fine that someone gets and their car drive 4 miles only to not be served while they are open and drive back home 4 miles all the while wanting a smoothie.

Beware online orders.

3 times.
3 times this location has accepted my online order but when I arrive they are closed during their posted business hours.
When I go in next to get it fixed, I get kids snickering at me.

I got a blueberry bliss from here and it tasted like absolutely nothing. I was starting to question my sense of taste because it just tasted like ice until I had someone else try it and they also said it tasted like nothing. What an absolute joke. I took 3 sips and then just dumped it down the sink it was so horrible. This company itself is also horrible. At the metro center location (now closed down- no surprise there), they took my online order and never gave it to me because they were closed for cleaning. They never gave me a refund for the 30+ dollars I spent. Had to call back every couple days asking for an update on my refund and I just got empty promises until they closed down. I sent a complaint to corporate and guess what? Absolutely no response from them either. That was in June, still have never got a refund back. Do not waste your money on this place unless you want shaved ice and disappointment.

i walked in for my first time and the lack of hospitality was baffling. i had to ask them if they were ready to help me after we stared at each other for 30 seconds in silence. smoothie is good tho, i only went in for the protein options.

Clean bright fresh and airy place. the mango smoothie was awesome and the chicken bacon chipotle flatbread was good too. I could drink that smoothie everyday. Lol

Got a bowl and mango magic smoothie. Didn’t start drinking it until I left the store and noticed it wasn’t blended all the way. I’ve been here before and never had an issue. Hopefully the next time it’ll be better or I’ll go to another location

I got the detox smoothie and has ginger root pineapple spinach, and kale and banana. Very big portion. Definitely fills you up. Nice and smooth and tasty. Then I have their turkey bacon sandwich on ciabatta bread that was warm and tender bread. Very delicious. I will definitely be coming back and bringing some company.

I came in 15 minutes before close and felt horrible about it. The worker who had red hair was so kind to me and made my experience so pleasant despite me probably being a burden. She was lovely

Don't really understand why you'd only have 2 workers on a promotional day ... it also shouldn't take upwards of 25 minutes to make a couple flatbreads imo.

This is probably one of the worst tropical cafes that I have been too. We had placed an online order at 1pm. Order said ready at 1:45. We get there and there’s no one being helped. One girl in the back making food with her hair down wiping her snot that is dripping down her nose and then proceeding to cook more food. The lady in the front is completely clueless about how to handle a busy lobby. Doing dishes when she has a line out the door, talking on the phone while dealing with customers. Turn off your phone and attend to the customers, I understand you have a sale going on but you should have prepared for that. This tropical smoothie needs to be shut down instead of the one off bell. Completely disgusting and disappointing, 2 hours for a goddamn smoothie and boogers in my food. This store needs attention.

The drink I ordered is listed as a smoothie. What I received, as evidence in the photo, is a slushy. Turns out I paid nearly $9 for pineapple flavored ice. I see no reason to return.

To the owner: there are enough reviews citing quality control issues that you are for sure aware of it AND are allowing it to continue. You are stealing from your customers by advertising one product, charging for that product, and then providing a far inferior product. The Mango Madness that I ordered listed yogurt as an ingredient and I can say WITH ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY that there wasn’t a drop of yogurt in the slushy I received. You should be ashamed of yourself for lying to and ripping off customers!
