Urban District - INDIAN CUISINE

I have been to India and love the food so much. Urban District has the power to transport me all the way back to Delhi, Bangalore and other places we visited. The lunch specials during the week and grand buffet on weekends gives one a great opportunity to experience the best they have to offer at a very reasonable price. The byrianis, tandoori and curries are very tasty! Very authentic flavors and ingredients. I recommend trying Urban District. It is a Desi Khana Peena for sure.

First and foremost let me just compliment the gentleman who helped me this evening. I was having DoorDash of this place and the driver gave the food away and was going back and forth with us about canceling the order. When I called, the gentleman from this restaurant confirmed the order to have been picked up and contacted customer support on his side and was the only reason I was not charged.

I ordered the food again and came to pick it up and found a lovely establishment with kind people in it. My food smells amazing and I cannot wait to try it. I will absolutely be back. Thank you so much!! 🖤

I ordered from Urban district for the first time because I was craving Indian food, and I’m honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed everything. Every dish I ordered was flavorful and well-seasoned.

I tried the masala dosa, chicken tikka masala with garlic naan, and bullet naan. The dosa had a delicious seasoning with potatoes, which I liked. The chicken tikka masala was rich and satisfying, and both types of naan were fresh and tasty. The food also seemed a bit more seasoned / slightly saltier than the usual Indian takeout I order, but it paired perfectly with the naan and rice.

Everything arrived well-packaged. The only hiccup was that one of the menu items I ordered on DoorDash didn’t show up on the receipt even though it appeared on the app. Thankfully it wasn’t a big issue as we had plenty of food.

Overall, I’m really impressed and will definitely be ordering again. This might just become my new go-to spot for Indian food!

I visited Urban District Indian restaurant on Bell Road & N 34th Way - last night, and as a vegetarian, the food is still giving me flavors. This place is an absolute gem for anyone who loves authentic, flavorful Indian cuisine.

I ordered two curry dishes, and both were spectacular. The kofta curry was incredibly rich and creamy, with a perfectly balanced onion-based sauce that was both sweet and tangy. The kofta was soft and melted in mouth. Even better was the chole (chickpeas), a perfect dish that was packed with so much deep, complex flavor. One could really taste the spicy & tangy notes from chole, and it was unlike any version I have had before. Neither dish was overly greasy, just pure, delicious goodness.

I also got two different vegetarian biryanis.

And the wheat naan! It was fresh out of the tandoor, piping hot, fluffy, and had those perfect charred bubbles. It was the ideal vehicle for scooping up every bit of those incredible curries.

The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance is super nice and inviting. This was a perfect dining experience from start to finish. I highly recommend Urban District, especially for my fellow vegetarians looking for a truly memorable meal.

I actually visited next day for the lunch pate too. Surprisingly, it costed me only $7 for the entire lunch.

I went here tonight for the first time and this place was delicious. First off, I loved the murals they had on their walls. Great atmosphere, really spacious. We ordered the garlic naan, samosas, chicken tikka masala and chicken curry with vegetable biryani (sp?). It was so good, and the portions were generous so I’m happy to have leftovers for later. I didn’t drink tonight but they have a full bar, which is also a plus for my next visit.

WOULD RECOMMEND!! My experience here was better than I originally expected. I was nervous to try this place as I don’t frequently eat Indian cuisine and so my knowledge with what to order was intimidating at first. However, our server was very helpful, made some good recommendations, and was very patient with us. He even gave us a couple free desserts as we were celebrating a birthday! We were not only impressed by the service but the food was excellent!! I couldn’t tell you everything we got but I know we will be back to enjoy their buffet to try a broader range of dishes.

If you've already charged me a 20% gratuity, have the courtesy to inform me. Then don't show your screen again and ask me for more tip.
What's even worse is, the additional tip % is calculated for the total + gratuity. I've basically tipped a percentage of my tip for already tipping. This culture is getting atrocious. Hate being scammed like this and will never come back again.

Amazing food and fantastic service! Every dish was bursting with fresh, authentic flavor, and the staff made us feel so welcome. A must-try! Don’t be shy if you aren’t familiar with the dishes, the staff does an excellent job explaining everything!

We were very excited to have dinner outside after a long time, so we chose Urban District Restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.

We ordered Kare Kudi Chicken, Butter Garlic Naan, Chicken 65, Parota, and Chicken Fried Rice. The food took 20–30 minutes to arrive, and when it finally came, it was overly salty and lacked flavor. None of us could really enjoy it—we only ate a little and ended up leaving most of the food.

After waiting so long and paying for the meal, we left feeling upset and disappoInted

The food is flavorful, a bit spicer than other, and there is a good selection. You have to try the dosa. On Saturday and Sunday there is a larger selection. This buffet is different from the others I’ve tried in AZ. A combination of North and South Indian dishes.
