I don’t know how missed this gem! The food menu had a variety of meals that are completely different than what you would see at restaurants. The ingredients are unique and come together beautifully. If I could have tried everything on the menu, I would have. The staff was so wonderful and helpful on what pick for drinks and food. The atmosphere was great and it was a very welcoming spot. I would not only come here again, but bring others with me. Great place!

Everyone was very welcoming, from the front desk to the bartenders, but waiting over 30 minutes for an octopus appetizer.... god forbid i order an entree.!!!!
Like I said very different personalities at the restaurant, I respect that, but food should not take that long. When i asked where my appetizer was, the bartender said: we are slammed....
I just ask to pay for my glass of wine half full, they where gracious enough not to charge for it.
I left hungry, what a shame....
Whoever takes your order needs to follow up on the item.
Instead of waiting for nothing to happen.
Never going back to this place!
I was contacted by the management team, they ask me to leave my information, but nothing!!!!
Horrible follow up.
So there you have it.

We celebrated our anniversary at valentine. Our waiter Chris was great offered amazing suggestions and was hospitable. I asked him what brand his t shirt was (cause he looked good) and his shirt didn’t have a tag in it. He found out and told me later. We got wine, salmon dip, and trout. Everything amazing. Chris was so fast and on it. We’ve been to valentine like 5 times. Chris with the mustache had the best service. It was a lot of fun.

It's a bit loud but the food and vibe compensate for it. Very recommended

This is a very fun restaurant, with inventive food, in a refreshingly casual setting. They take common dishes and update them to make them inventive and interesting. Many of their dishes are made with locally sourced ingredients, which gives the flavors a unique kick. They also have counter service for coffee and bakery items, and the pastries are definitely on the artistic side, so be prepared for new flavors. I enjoyed eating here, very much.

Place is widely over hyped, the hostess was rude who unfortunately ended up being our server. Chicken was subpar, they ask you for still or sparkling water. If you say sparkling 7 dollars charge without mentioning it's extra, I don't give a dang about the cost but it's the lack of transparency. The acoustics in that place are like a tin can, you can hear every drunk old lady cackling like a rooster from across the restaurant. You need to do better Blaise, it was a much better operation when Matt was part of it still. In conclusion, take your $200 dollars somewhere else.

Had coffee and croissants (which were awesome!) one day and knew I had to come back for dinner! We had the pretzel to start which was almost like a dessert and delicious. The baby gem lettuce was also fantastic and had a great dressing.
For mains we had the elote pasta which was buttery and rich, and the fresh pasta was so tasty. The toppings added a nice texture too. But our favorite by far was the Trout. It was perfectly cooked, had the crispiest skin, and topped with fresh herbs and pickled red onions (I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, pickled red onions make everything taste better.)
The atmosphere was great and our server was so fun! We will be back! And for their breakfast you can’t go wrong with their savory croissants or their churro croissant! So amazing!

I would love to give a fair assessment of this restaurant as it has been on my list to visit for years. After finally getting to this area, we walked in around 1130.
Staff was initially nice, but it quickly devolved. By the end when we were leaving, our server didn’t even come to the table to drop off the ticket or pick it up.
I am not exaggerating when I say that literally every single food item we tried to order was sold out. The worst part? Every time we tried to order a new item, our server had to leave to check and see if that item was in stock. After three attempts we called it quits.
It’s really sad too, because the drinks were delicious and the food described seemed amazing! But what’s the point of having a restaurant in a brunch heavy city if you are going to be out of most food items by 11am on a weekend?
Definitely give it a shot, it’s worth a try, but be warned.

Serving sizes are a bit on the small side, but everything was delicious and very thoughtfully crafted. We’ll be back!

I love valentine so much. Everything's is so good and different. My family got the salmon dip, steak, 2 pretzels, a tomato toast, an agua fresca, an elote pasta , and a drink and it came out to $255.

Whimsical? Yes! Creative? You bet!
My first stop after hopping off the olde flying sardine can, and boy was I impressed.
Pastries were the highlights here. Some of the most beautifully crafted croissants with the perfect, not too buttery, crunch. Sublime is an understatement.
The Tres Leches French Toast made with sorghum and squash brioche was a different combination of unexpected, yet delightful, flavors.
Mesquite smoke trout roe and yuzu mayo on a hot dog? LOLZ! I don’t know what to say other than it was sooooo incredibly good! Recommended pairing : a hearty serving of chile-aioli tater tots.
What kind of beaker wielding nerd comes up with this deliciousness?
Highly recommend.

They put a 25% mandatory tip on bills for groups.
Food was meant to be shared but portions were smaller than what a usual potion for a single portion should be, especially for the price. Food was good but not worth the prices.

I can't recommend this place enough.
We went a couple weeks back when something was going wrong in the kitchen and our food took forever, but we still had an amazing experience thanks to the staff.
Reservation recommended. (There was a loooong wait, but we got lucky and snagged 2 seats at the bar)
Thank you for giving amazing service to us, even as out-of-towners.
Also, my spicy lemonade was super delicious!
