If I could put 0 I would. My food was greasy and the potatoes that come as a side had no taste or seasoning. The coffee that you refill yourself was cold and so was the latte they served. My husband is a senior who can’t stand long and was immediately bombarded by multiple people asking him to stand when he tried to sit at a table while we waited in line. The lighting was so poor I couldn’t properly read the menu. My husbands food tasted stale as if it was left out.

There’s something so comforting about getting biscuits and gravy in a big bowl 💯 Vovomeena is one of my favorite breakfast places. I’ve been coming here since just after it first opened and the owner is a doll. He told me about how he named this place after his Portuguese grandparents and it’s their likenesses on the mural in the front. I’m so glad they survived Covid and I hope they’ll always be around. Thank you for the delicious, inventive food and the very good vibes. ❤️

This place is growing from word-of-mouth, which is how we found out about it, and so happy we did! We’ve been here about a dozen times now, and everything is consistently good.
Traditional breakfast food, but higher quality ingredients than most places.
Their locally sourced coffee is exceptional!!! That alone makes it worth the extra drive!
Nothing is ever greasy, and their baked goods, and especially their blueberry pancakes, are delicious.
We appreciate the cleanliness, the funky decor, but most especially, the attentive, kind staff. Kaj, the manager, has always been exceptional, going above and beyond. Can’t say enough about this little hidden gem of a place.

My husband ordered the breakfast sandwich. I ordered the B.M.O.C., I didn’t have my glasses and didn’t really know what I was getting other than a Portuguese doughnut. When my plated arrived it was a waffle with apples, syrup, thick ham, eggs and a Portuguese doughnut. A regular on the patio engaged conversation. He asked what I ordered! He was also clueless about my BMOC. He got Johnnycakes, one of his favorites besides the amazing biscuits and gravy.
I loved the Portuguese doughnut but will order the johnnycakes or biscuits and gravy next time. I also want to try their grits. I am not a huge fan of ham but it had a nice hint of rosemary and seemed to have a nice char from a grill. I love waffles and eggs together but would get the syrup and apples on the side to eliminate waffle sogginess if I do ever order this meal again.
They have a great patio, you can bring your dog! The service was fabulous. Our server took the time to greet a wagging guest that was overjoyed to see her. I would recommend that you hit up Vovomeena!

Hidden Gem That Truly Delivers! Came here for brunch after finding it in a quick local search and wow this place absolutely lives up to the hype. The food was outstanding, fresh, and full of flavor, and the atmosphere had that perfect mix of cozy and lively. You can tell it’s a local favorite for a reason.
I highly recommend the Mexican Benedict the flavors are on point and it’s easily one of the best breakfast dishes I’ve had in a long time. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this spot is definitely worth checking out.
