What a surprise! When you open the door you will see some amazing art on the ceilings, walls, tables and even the seating. The food was amazing. We had the hot heathen which was a Nashville hot chicken sandwhich with a jamming house salad. The Korean bbq chicken strips with the waffle fries were very good as well. We had amazing customer service from Taylor who is beautiful and professional. They also play really good music. Loved it!
I wound up eating dinner at Walter Studios because El Norteno is cash only; maybe this is a club or something later at night, but at 6 pm it was mostly regulars and the staff ramping up.
Very friendly and professional folks. Probably my favorite folks on a long road trip, which is saying something. Andrew was a terrific bartender, lots of beer knowledge. We talked about the menu a lot; I love food.
My advice: come here before an event downtown, before Walter Studios gets busy, order (at least) the waffle fries/reasonably-priced booze and talk to the staff.
The waffle fries are literally perfectly made. Imagine 90’s era Arby’s seasoned fries but not over-salted, perfectly hot and crunchy.

So the place inside the decorations the vibe of artist and singers and people painting and sketching is awesome but I can't say this about the service towards the end of the night I got here at 4pm cause I wanted to enjoy myself in knowing I would be here for a while it started great but then I got hungry so I was like okay I'm gonna order I ordered the chicken buffalo style with fries and I even asked what seasonings it came with because I'm allergic to rosemary hint hint if I'm asking and you are serving me that says I want Fries and the chicken buffalo and if you're asking me that I want Fries then that's a order is this correct or not they gave a machine to pick up my order so I went to pick it up there was only wings no fries why go through the trouble of asking about fries and me telling him I don't want rosemary on fries hint hint I want my fries I asked where are my fries he said I only paid for chicken buffalo yeah I was pissed because if I said I wanted fries and chicken that means ring me up for it and then to see my plate not having it why am I going to wait another half an hour for fries so my chicken can go cold obviously this guy isn't attentive his service sucks and to make a customer think there getting there order is wrong!!!!!! If I go to this place I will not order food again here and when you order make sure the person taking orders is on top of their game and get a receipt I have my receipt of who took my order..... This was my first time to this place and no person should have a bad experience because some one doesn't like their job or incompetent of doing it!!!! The inside interior is inviting the outside exterior is inviting the music is on point they are kid friendly the environment of people is on point with me but it's sad my first experience had to be awful and I left early cause I was hungry and I wasn't gonna order here again.... it's sad that one has to leave to get better service else were....

A truly unique venue with multiple areas that cater to different vibrant tones of art and music. Walking into the studios feels open and inviting as it displays different artwork and decor that reflect the Phoenix art scene. There are multiple bars and hideaways within the studios that reward your curiosity with a memorable experience to share with friends. Whether it's admiring the famous Walter art cars at Burning Man showcased on portraits in the main room, or dancing to the various artists playing music on the dancefloors, you're bound to be pleasantly surprised by how well Walter Studios can entertain.

Awesome place to go see a show. It's in a cool part of town. The neighborhood is very walkable and there's tons of bars, restaurants and businesses in the area, it's all very hip and kitschy. The venue is sleek and modern, it has a very art gallery vibe on the outside. The staff are welcoming, real friendly to chat with. Inside there's a restaurant and bar, some tables and booths to sit at, pretty comfy set up. It's definitely more upscale and loungy than your average punk/metal venue.
Parking: It's limited. Get there early.

Walter Studios has hit it out of the park with me! Our school hosted a concert there and the staff was amazing ?They have wonderful food with generous portions and a vibe that just won't stop! Every corner you turn, there is something cool to look at. The staff is talented with lighting and sound with a professional but fun nature!I can't say enough about the Walter Crew and what they do. It's amazing ? ? ❤️
Parking: There is some parking but given how many people were at the venue, most had to park away from the venue in the neighborhood.
Kid-friendliness: We hosted a kid related music event here, they were so super accommodating to our kids. They had a special menu just for them. The portions were generous for the kids!
Wheelchair accessibility: There were several people using wheelchairs at our show and they helped them to the front of the stage!
