Not as cool as the OG location, but got the job done. Was oktoberfest and they said they didn't have bratwurst, sad.
I'll try again next year.

Went for lunch with a friend. The house burger was amazing, plenty of fries with it. The beer selection is awesome too. Will definitely go back.

Great place, but can get a bit loud inside. Nice patio when the weather cools. Great chicken schnitzel and beer, of course.

This is the best beer garden in all of Phoenix! The beer selection is fantastic with a lot of german, belgian, beers on tap. They do not have TVs and blast top 40 music. It is a place to come hangout, talk, enjoy good beers, you can see the south mountain and the sunsets are quite nice if you get there in the evening. Truly unique place, and I wish more beer gardens were like this. Hope they can open one just like this in Laveen!

Great atmosphere, relaxed, comfortable. Service was very friendly. This was our first stop in our brewery tour, and it ranked near the top of the list. Great beer selection.

Overall: 3- Average. Won't be a frequent go-to, but will visit again sometime when in the mood for smash burger or app with some beers.
Food: 3- Limited menu but decent burger, onion rings and fries. Didn't try anything else.
Drinks: 3- decent craft beer menu, Wren is hit and miss at times. Some wine. Didn't see any cocktails.
Service: 5- excellent service at bar, very nice bartenders; can't say about booths.
Atmosphere: 4- Cool, chill brewpub vibe; Didn't notice any TVs for sports though.
Only 1 visit, will update...

Wren Südhalle is a gem for beer lovers, offering some of the best brews in the valley, with a standout selection of German-style beers that make every visit a treat for enthusiasts like me.
Unfortunately, the food doesn’t match the quality of the beer. I ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich, expecting a flavorful, authentic experience, but it fell short. The “schnitzel” was essentially a deep-fried chicken breast—lacking the thin, crispy texture and seasoning that define a true schnitzel. The bun, a soft smash burger-style roll, felt out of place for a schnitzel sandwich; something heartier, like a pretzel bun or kaiser roll, would have elevated the dish. Worse, the sandwich was sparsely topped with just a pinch of shredded lettuce and a scant teaspoon of sauce, leaving it dry and uninspired.
I didn’t try other menu items, but based on their presentation and descriptions, they didn’t seem particularly enticing.
My partner doesn't eat meat, and they did offer fried mushrooms, but were out of stock so there wasnt much her to eat besides nuts. This is a deal breaker for dinner unfortunatley.
In summary, Wren Südhalle’s beer selection is exceptional and worth the visit, but the food, especially the schnitzel sandwich, needs a serious overhaul to match the brewery’s high standards.
Cheers!

Food is good, and now they have regular bratwurst and sourkraut. I still like the bratwurst burger the best. Beers are $7, kind of pricey. Fun atmosphere, in a group.

We love this local gem. Our German Gem! Great food and well prepared. In the 8 or so times we have eaten here, it's always like the first time.
Very consistent on food quality and taste. That's probably because the menu is simple and not overwhelming at all.
The beer selections are excellent and always changing with the seasons. They import hard-to-find German selections and sell others as well. Plenty of seating at the bar and throughout. There's even a game room in the back where you can show off your shuffleboard skills, or lack thereof. PROST!

The beer choices are great, as is the food. Love that it's dog friendly, too. Service is adequate, although they don't seem thrilled you're there most of the times I've been in.
