If you’re looking for ten different variations of a California roll, this is not the place for you. Good quality fish and you pay for what you get.

Literally the best sushi ever! Not like sushi you’ve ever had. After being stationed in Japan this is the realist thing I’ve had in America!

just simply fresh, well prepared sushi in an intimate setting. Yasu doesn't disappoint.

Excellent small restaurant that has a tasty menu and really good food. The servers and cooks are very friendly and personable making this restaurant a totally authentic and awesome experience.

This is by far the best and most authentic Japanese restaurant in the Phoenix metropolitan area. As someone who has been to Japan 100+ times, this is the real deal. Much of the fish/seafood is imported from the Toyosu Fish Market in Tokyo; (even the milk for one of the tofu dishes is imported from a specific prefecture [Kyoto]). You simply cannot find this level of quality anywhere else.

This is the best Japanese restaurant in Arizona, and easily a contender for one of the top Japanese restaurants in America. As someone who has been to Japan 200+ times, there is nothing that comes close in the Phoenix metro area. Yasu is superior to some of the noteworthy places I've been in Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, etc. Highly, highly recommended.

We had a few small plates - green beans, shrimp, tuna ,and bacon wrapped dates, then an entre. Everything was excellent . Staff very helpful. Highly recommend!

I lived in this neighborhood for 4 years before I found this cute sushi spot. I went for a solo dinner and was pleasantly surprised. There was nobody else in the building which never makes you feel great BUT I am glad I stayed. I ordered a few different rolls and nigiri and it was all super yummy.
