I've never actually waited 30-45m for a breakfast place, but it was certainly worth the wait. The eggs were well crafted, light & fluffy with a nice bit of cheese in them. The bacon was thick, almost too thick. Their pancakes were good, and I don't usually eat pancakes. Their French toast was delicious, although slightly underdone. The portions were good, and the staff was attentive!

Can’t rate service or the food, never got any. The new hostess is horrible. Waited waited and waited some more with a large party that arrangements were made beforehand for, but since the hostess is new there was a mix up. Spent half the morning there waiting for a table. Ridiculous. FOLLOW UP: the response from the owner is lacking. Not sure who Carlos is, perhaps another frustrated customer. My review never said there was no wait time expected - it said arrangements were made beforehand with the expectation the wait would be reduced (hence acknowledging there is a wait) - but the wait time was actually extended due to poor customer service; but nice try at trying to downplay that the review may not be for this establishment. When a poor review is written, the goal is to try to make people think it was the reviewers mistake, that the review must have been written for a different place. Apparently the accountability here is just as good as the customer service. All good things to know.

We were seated at a wet table. We requested honey three times and never received. The food was a little overcooked and dry. It was not busy at the time of our arrival and departure.

Incredibly clean and bright interior with a cohesive and pleasant design. I don't think I've ever been in a restaurant that looked, and was, this clean.

The food and staff were incredible. Our waiter was attentive and very kind. The lemon ricotta pancakes were gorgeous, and tasted just as good as they looked.

I will definitely be coming back here!

Sunshine Breakfast Bar is a sunlit gem for breakfast lovers in Phoenix! Nestled on Cave Creek Road, its modern-rustic charm and airy outdoor patio create a bright, cheerful backdrop for starting your day. The menu shines with creative specialty pancakes like Banana Pecan Caramel and Lemon Ricotta, alongside savory favorites like Chicken Fried Steak and Huevos Rancheros. Whether you’re dining with your pup on the shaded patio or grabbing a seat indoors, the friendly service, inclusive vibe (vegan and vegetarian options available), and thoughtful touches, like accommodating pet owners, make every visit feel like brunch in the best kind of sunlight.

They added me to the waitlist and I waited 30 minutes for a notification text. When I went up to the front they told me I was taken off the waitlist and they offered to put me back on it.

Posh. Expensive for two. Food seemed better when dining in than taking out. (At least the gluten free waffles anyway. I have tried them both dine-in and take-out.)
