Friday April 17, 2021 around 7:30 pm we were sitting in the bar. Waiter was rude from the minute we sat down. Actually slammed our drinks down on the table and left. There was salt on the rim of one of the drinks. When my friend asked the waiter to fix it, as she had asked for no salt. The waiter acted like it was her fault and was rude about it. We got our chips and salsa delivered with the same rude behavior. We wanted to think that he was having personal problems and cut him some slack. When it came time to pay he was just as rude. Then as we were all walking out he called us names and told us to never come back. I was shocked. The margaritas were great though.

Coming home after dropping my wife's car off to replace its transmission, we needed a nice place to relax and enjoy some good food and libations. Z'Tejas came to mind, and we're happy it did. We started out with one of our favorite small plates, their Shrimp Tostada Bites. They are a small shrimp on a small corn tostada with guacamole, some small greens and cucumber. The plate is a shade pricier than we like, but they are quite tasty. My wife started with a Mango Peach Mimosa, very good! I had a cocktail which reminded me of spring breaks during my college years, their version of a pina colada, "Z'Colada. I will come back just for another one! My wife ordered the Mushroom Enchiladas. She really enjoyed them. The accompanying rice was fine, the black beans were better than most others we have had. I ordered the Stuffed Artichoke Chicken from their Spring Menu. One reason why we like Z'Tejas so much is that it is not just Tex-Mex or your standard Mexican food, a number of dishes have southwestern influence but are unique to Z'Tejas. My dish was very good and came with artichokes, spinach, and mushrooms along with some asparagus as well as their excellent cheese mashed potatoes. (potatoes have to be really good for me to like them!) Oh, we have to say that on Wednesdays you can get a bottle of wine at half-price! Also, the seven-day Happy Hour has a great price on their house margaritas. And, a personal note of importance is the TV's in the bar use closed-captioning so you can know what is being said. Why so many businesses never use closed-captioning is a mystery to us. Thank you Z'Tejas!

We ate dinner here and the service and food were great. But the prices on the ‘Mini Bites’ menu for quesadillas are very misleading. The price listed for the spinach and mushroom quesadillas was $2, and for the shrimp quesadillas it was $5. It seemed like a great deal, so I figured they would be tiny, tapas size, and I ordered both. They neglected to leave the 1 out of both prices, and the actual prices were $12 and $15. I brought it up to the waitress when the bill came, and she said she would definitely let them know.

Food and service was excellent. We waited a noticeable length of time for our dessert; however we were with family from out of town, so we had more time to converse. We sat out on the patio where the tables were a nice distance apart. The frozen margaritas (at happy hour price) were excellent too.

Just was totally blown off I was still in my clothes so .. don't gudge. They where closing so I understand. But it felt like if I looked differently maybe I would have got a menu

I was not impressed with the service at all in the Chandler location off of Ray Road. Had numerous services as things were not going well waited for cocktaiks and food. However Z the GM made sure we were taken care of and brought us Tiiara. He made sure dinner was taken care of and could not be better in treating us as guest to his restaurant. So what turned out out as a terrible negative was a great positive to end the night.
We ordered the chicken fried chicken and carne asada fajitas. The chef is obviously very experienced at preparing tender well done meat. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough for the service and quality of the food.

Once upon a time this was my favorite restaurant. I haven't lived in arizona in a decade and yet the second I land In town to visit family this is where I wanted to go. Some things stayed delicious... ok up until my trip this past Christmas 2020. Everything was awful. Everything. Why is this even still called ZTEJAS!?!!?? Call it something else.

We had lunch here and it was quite nice. The relleno was very different than any I had before, but was still good in it's uniqueness. Kids had kid stuff and were pleased. The margarita (frozen w/ a swirl) was good and pricing was as expected. An all-around positive experience.

I had not been here for some time, as our last experience a few years ago was not great either. We sat outside and were served quickly, our waitress was very good. The menu seemed to have less choice than before, but I am not sure if that is correct. The food was not great or that hot! I had the trout and vegetables and it was bland.

Food was mediocre, hostess was incredibly rude claiming she called us to tell us items were unavailable in our takeout order, when we in fact never received a call. Took at least 6 attempts to get someone to even answer the phone even though we were sitting in the car out front and could see her ignoring the phone.Then once we finally had it resolved and changed our order, she got mad when we went in to grab the food because we were “supposed to call her to have it brought out” even though we’d called many times, and already been sitting there for 30 minutes.Terrible customer service and very unapologetic. Will never be ordering from there again.
