A Sweet Stop That Sticks With You

Passing through Pine on a dusty summer afternoon, we stumbled into the Gingerbread House and found ourselves wrapped in nostalgia. This isn’t just an ice cream shop—it’s a memory-maker.

We tried the lemon creamcicle and pistachio, and both were perfection. The lemon was bright and creamy, like childhood summers bottled into a scoop. The pistachio had that earthy, mellow richness that makes you slow down and savor.

The place itself feels like a storybook cottage—quirky, welcoming, and full of character. You can tell the owners care deeply about what they do. Every flavor feels handcrafted, and the vibe is pure Arizona charm.

Whether you’re hauling gear up north or just meandering through Rim Country, this is the kind of place that turns a pit stop into a highlight. It’s the kind of spot you tell friends about, the kind you remember years later when the heat hits and you crave something sweet and grounding.

Don’t just pass through—pause here. Let the ice cream melt a little. Let the moment linger.

Their ice cream is sourced from Hawaii! I had to get the Kauai Pie.

This was a five-star visit from our family when we passed through Pine last year - my two young daughters loved it! They're only open (according to Google) on Saturdays and Sundays, so we made sure to stop by this past Sunday when passing through town again. My daughters were crushed that they were closed all day Sunday this time through...wish they stuck to their hours.

If you have a business and your hours are on Google, you must update your hours if you decide to be closed! You're only open sat and sun as it is.
Current day and time ... Sunday 330pm. 😡

Super cute ice cream shop located in Strawberry, AZ. We had the family staying at a local Air BnB and found this fun little outdoor seating ice cream / candy shop. Ice cream was delicious and the gentleman checking us out was super friendly.

Oh my goodness!!! THIS ICE CREAM IS FANTASTIC!!! I remembered having Lappert’s on my honeymoon and had to get some. They have it shipped from Hawaii. We had a Kona Coffee and Pistachio Chocolate Shake. It was so good we bought two pints of ice cream to go!
The owners are lovely! Good people! They are open weekends because they work full time at other jobs during the week.
Honestly worth the stop if you are driving through Pine.
Note: There is plenty of street parking.

Great Ice Cream and take a selfie with the Mogollon Monster. Lots of improvements in the last few months. Stop in and see this place when in Pine.

I love this place! The ice cream is amazing, so creamy and good, hand dipped and specialized however your heart desires! The family that runs it are so sweet, smiles, and even a treasure vix for the kiddos! Cute little sitting area to enjoy the breeze awhile eating your ice cream. Highly recommend stopping by!

Parking: Parking is tough most weekends, but if you pack behind the thrift store it's a very short walk.

I scream for ice cream! This was once a log cabin built in 1882 and the owner is from New Zealand! He shared some great stories!I got the Carmel coconut macademia nut, it's the creamiest ice cream ever!! We'll be back tomorrow when he changes flavors!
