Small town diner that offers large portions and mediocre food. The service was very good but a little confused. My chili, cheese and onion omelet was a lot of food. My wife had a tuna melt which she will eat for breakfast tomorrow morning. We are glad we stopped because there isn't m any places in those mountains.

The best breakfast spot on the rim. Consistently great food and service. Been coming here for 15+ years and it's always great. Somehow they keep prices reasonable without sacrifices.

This place had it all: great service, great food, and great prices. I highly recommend visiting the Early Bird Cafe if you're ever in Pine. I had the ham, egg, and cheese sandwich, and it reminded me of the food my mom would make growing up. The pancakes are huge and delicious. I'm looking forward to come back next time I'm in the area.

Typical small town diner. Food was very good and service was good. I had sausage, cheese omelette, cottage fried potatoes, and pancake. Omelette was definitely a 3-egg and the potatoes were tasty. Pancake was huge. Wife had eggs Benedict - she has had better, but it was good. Service was friendly and attentive. even though it was 12:30 PM on a Wednesday in April, it was not crowded at all - suspect peak summer season and weekends are different. The blue sign has been replaced and there is now a round sign (see some previous comments for pics). Need to update this page in Tripadvisor.

This is a great place for breakfast or lunch, right on the main street through town. We always have great service, and the food is good and plentiful. I had breakfast, my wife had lunch, and we were both pleased.

I used to visit a friend here in this town and came here several times with him. Last year I came for breakfast preceding his funeral! The waitress, who knew him, was so sympathetic, she comped my meal that day. I went there for lunch today, certainly not looking for a freebie. I enjoyed the “ Southwestern Philly with Turkey “ very tasty with garlic fries. My server was very friendly. Nice small town cafe.

This is a great breakfast place. Not a lot of options in Pine/Strawberry so it gets busy with both visitors and locals but they also do not take advantage of that and offer a lot of good food at very good prices. A great Mom and Pop country style setting. Highly recommend it.

Really really good. I loved every bite of the corned hash and home fries and the picky wife loved her ham and cheese omlet. With sausage links. We will be back.
