My wife and I went to Grumpy Jake's for lunch. It was our first time there. We were greeted immediately by our very friendly waiter. The decor is very much in the western style as you would expect for a Bbq place and very relaxed feeling. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich and my wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries. The food came out quickly. The fries had spice on them and were very good. Thin cut, cooked well and awesome. My brisket was super tender and juicy, as was my wife's pulled pork. The buns seemed like homemade and had butter on them. They give you what looks like a syrup dispenser full of their house made bbq sauce. It was a great sauce with lots of flavor. We put it in our sandwiches, since it does not come pre-sauced, and I also dipped my fries in it. Yummy! Prices were very reasonable, looks like lots of amazing things on the menu, friendly & quick service and awesome food. What more could you ask for. We will definitely be back to our new favorite bbq restaurant soon.

Food was not as good as when original family owned. Not much meat on ribs. Dirty silverware. Fried corn was now deep fried and mush. Only the barbecue sauce was as good as reneged.

Went in for lunch and had no problem getting a table. Rustic setting is perfect for this type of eatery. Our server was prompt and courteous. Hands down some of the best barbecue I've ever had. They're barbecue sauce is incredible! The meats were smoked perfectly. Absolutely love this place.
