Absolutely amazing food!!! We are from the Phoenix area but travel to Pinetop/Lakeside often. We will now keep this place as a destination any time we are in the White mountains! The filet mignon sopapillas are to die for.

All the staff was very friendly! The waitress was kind and attentive. The owner was also very friendly and made sure that we enjoyed everything. The food was very good and freshly made. Everyone really enjoyed everything, especially the potatoes, the stuffed sopapillas, and the red and green sauces. Thank you so much for a great meal!

I was driving by today looking for somewhere to stop and eat when I came across Ruby’s Cafe. Let me tell you I am glad that I did. I was welcomed by the server, who was extremely professional and courteous. I ordered the Chilaquiles and if I could, I would rate them 10 stars Or more I have not tasted any thing like those in a very long time, and then to find out that they are made from scratch, makes it even better and authentic . I will definitely be going back for more

I’ve had breakfast here twice and lunch once in the past month. The food is just great! Huevos rancheros for breakfast where is outstanding with Hatches green chilies? At lunch I had shrimp tacos. They were just great. In fact there were seven of us at lunch and everyone enjoyed their variety of selections. I highly recommend this new restaurant.

They have new owners!!! Had breakfast here this morning. It was super good! The food was fresh and it tasted excellent. They even accommodated my food allergies. I couldn't make up my mind whether I wanted pancakes or bread eggs or potatoes, so I ordered all of it. Everything was delicious. I'll be back with my hubby to try their lunch and dinner. Give them a try too, you will not be disappointed.

The food is AMAZING! If you know the difference between Mexican food and New Mexican food then you know New Mexican is unique and delicious. Bill the chef is not only a talented cook but also the nicest guy. He comes out to check on all his customers and visit and he makes me feel at home. I hadn’t been here in a couple months and he still remembered me. The prices are way more than reasonable. Go try them!!

An excellent restaurant specializing in New Mexico style food. Great selection of dishes and appetizers. We had the pork bellies in a nice sauce, with green chili mashed potatoes and calabasetias that was nicely cooked, and enough for two. Chef Bill described what he plans to do with the restaurant. He also said they roasted over 300 pounds of Hatch green chilis and almost sold all of them. If you are in the Pinetop area, this is a great place to enjoy. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

I am not one to share my experiences of a restaurant, but my wife and I thought it would be important to support this new gem in our community.Ruby's New Mexican Kitchen is outstanding! My wife and I have eaten at Ruby's a half dozen times and each and everytime it has been over the top.Saturday night I had a New Mexican 14oz ribeye steak. Steak cooked perfect, had melted pepperjack cheese then smothered with Hatch green chile. OMG! The best steak I have had in 20 years. My wife had the stacked blue enchiladas stuffed with cheese and filet mignon and topped with an egg, to die for. Sides for both were chef's Hatch chile beans and calabacitas, again over the top.Wife and I and several friends that we invited had breakfast Sunday morning, cannot get enough. Once again great friendly service. Very attentive, always smiling and always making us feel like family.I had egg rancheros with what they call Christmas sauce outstanding. My wife had a carnitas and egg chimi with Christmas sauce, the chef really over did himself all my wife could say a work of culinary art. Our friends were just as impressed and amazed.Each and everytime we have been over pleased. We would encourage our community and visitors to please try it for yourself and you will not regret it. Wait fish Friday is the best fish on the mountain hands down. I had this 2 weeks ago.Most likely you will meet Chef as he goes around to meet all his customers, very friendly as well and goes out of his way to make you feel at home. Very experienced gentleman.GREAT food, GREAT wait staff. PLEASE support them and give them a shot you will not regret it! The only negative that I saw for the 1st time was a gentleman waiting tables this past Sunday very chaotic and non friendly, rid of him. never seen him before maybe just helping, but not a good mix. Otherwise OUTSTANDING 5 stars across the board.
