El Gordo Mexican Grill Prescott Valley

Don't judge this place on its looks and location! I had some of the best street tacos I've ever eaten--beef and chicken, both seasoned amazingly. Service was great (got there for a late lunch), music was on, and the staff was singing away. Everyone seemed to love what they were doing.

Parking: Maybe 8 parking spots on site.

Kid-friendliness: Sure, bring kids. Were there with our teens.

A 5 Star Mexican Restaurant In Disguise

This place is an absolute BANGER. And is run by the most lovely staff I have ever been served with. I am addicted to their green sauces Enchiladas for $8, and the Texas Burrito for $11. The prices are reasonable and the portions are plentiful. I can't recommend this spot enough!

They desperately need better parking. But maybe that's the charm of the place as it is a very walking distance corner shop from the neighborhoods around

We absolutely love eating at El Gordo Mexican Restaurant in Prescott Valley! The Carne Asada fries are an absolute must-try—quick, delicious, and perfect when you're looking to get your grub on. The service is always fast and friendly, making it one of our favorite spots. Highly recommend! 🌟🌮🍟

Frequent visitor to El Gordo for quality and consistency of the Mexican food here. Daily specials are a great deal. Taco Tuesdays are awesome with $1.75 tacos chicken or beef😋

We ordered online through DoorDash for pickup. We arrived just when the order was supposed to be ready. One girl at the counter. She was taking orders. Waited 10 minutes and then went up to the counter and saw that our order was on the counter. A second girl came in and started picking up the ready pickup orders on the rack. They added some sauce and napkins. Then she said that they had run out of green sauce and had substituted with red sauce.
When we got home and opened the packs one item was missing. It was not listed on the receipt either so probably the door dash app messed up. The place had four booths and a couple of tables. Very basic. Food was not great.

Made a call for takeout and I was on hold for 15 minutes, I get there and they are not busy and I'm still on hold. The food is good but the girl that attended me at 12:02pm is not doing her job.

I came to Prescott Valley because I have family and friends that live there but when I always go, I always have to go to El Gordo! I always get the chimichanga because they're really good, but not only is the food good, but the service and the atmosphere are also really good! There's this guy named Helder that works there, and he has a nice smile, and is so nice. He always puts a smile on my face because he is also really funny! Good Job El Gordo!! I will always be a customer!
