Ordered takeout over the phone from Lindo Mexico Restaurante in Prescott Valley. They insisted on taking our full credit card number to pay—huge red flag right there. In 2025, no legitimate business should ask for that over an unsecured line when data breaches and card theft are everywhere. We used a precaution: a card with almost no balance that hadn’t been touched in over a year (held for 15 years with zero issues before). First and only use? That phone call to Lindo. Exactly one week later, it’s hit with an unauthorized $20,000 attempt through Mercado Pago (some Mexican payment site) to “Juan Martinez Services”—declined by Wells Fargo, thank God. Same suspicious pattern showed up on my wife’s AmEx around the same time, trackable the same way. Confronted the owner about the obvious connection, and the response was basically “That’s your problem?” Yeah, it is our problem—because your staff took the card info, and now we’re dealing with fraud alerts and having to replace cards. This place either has insecure handling, a dishonest employee, or both, and the owner mocks customers instead of taking responsibility or investigating. The food? Forgettable at best, but that’s secondary—the real issue is your personal info isn’t safe here. Do NOT give your card over the phone. Pay in person only, use cash, or stick to apps like Uber Eats that handle payment securely. If you’re smart with your money, steer clear of this spot entirely. Protect your family and finances—lessons learned the hard way.

So my kid is eating his taco and hits his tooth on a piece of bone. They didn't even care, first said it was hard meat. Then I said no it's bone, look how sharp it is. The manager came out and just gave some bs excuse about how they cut the meat. No compensation, no are you ok to my son? The food was not that good either, will not ever go back to this place.

Atmosphere, you'll feel you're in old Mexico. Staff & servers, all so pleasant & attentive. Food, fresh generous portions & delicious! Priced right. I've lived all over the country & LINDO is my favorite Mexican restaurant! Cleanliness, sparkling clean. They're constantly tidying up & sweeping the floors. LINDO is better than going to Mexico because you can drink the water.
