We went for karaoke. They dont serve any food but you can bring food in. We sat at a table and there was no one to service the tables. You had to go to the bar to get a drink and the bartender was not very attentive. They did have very fair drink prices for a bar.

Wednesdays (and Sundays, but, I only go on Wednedsdays) is karaoke, Thursdays is line dancing classes, and Fridays is 2-step dancing classes. Come sing your hearts out from 7 PM-midnight on Wednesdays (and Sundays, plus we do not care if you can sing or not, I cannot carry a tune, but, I love to sing me some Sheryl Crow or Paula Cole), on Thursdays it is line dancing classes, $5 for both classes, 6 PM-7 PM (beginner), 7 PM-8 PM (intermediate), and it is with an amazing dance instructor (we do not care if you are a beginner), and then on Fridays we have 2-step classes, again $5, 6 PM-7:30 PM, and with another amazing dance instructor (again, we do not care if you are a beginner). I have been coming here ever since I moved here and I love every minute I spend, coming to Matt's on these days.

It’s Matt’s. Not much else to say. Established business that has been on Whiskey Row since before about anyone alive was born. Music is good most weekend nights. Line dancing and couples dancing classes on Thursday and Friday respectively. Bartenders are top notch.

We took a group for drinks and some karaoke fun. There were some very talented singers! Everyone was having fun.I wish there was more than one bartender. We stopped at the bar longer than 2 full songs before she got to us.There were 3-5 people who had too much to drink, we're being far too provocative on the dance floor, and ended up getting into a physical fight. If management removed them when they were "only" bothering people and behaving poorly, the fight wouldn't have happened on their dance floor.Three patrons quickly broke up the fight and a couple of drunks were physically removed. The police were outside taking care of the situation for quite some timeOtherwise... Great place, great music, fun crowd!

This is not the place to take your family to eat or dance. This is a rugged, salt of the earth, good ol bar. It's a blast to bet on the horses, and I would not recommend asking for any type of cocktail that is not straight up liquor. They make anything either ingredients. But it was one of our favorite stops because of the vibe

Dalton is an awesome bartender the atmosphere is wonderful I had a great time here. Thursday night is line dancing night so they're teaching people how to do line dances which I believe is pretty awesome especially for the older crowd.

Been going to this place for decades. The staff is awesome. Very friendly and always attentive. The place is literally straight out of the old west. Great for locals and you’ll find a lot of tourists there too. Matt always has great entertainment on the weekend. So be sure to check out the live music.
