Went to get take out at 5:00 on a Sunday afternoon and they were closed even though their posted hours say they are open until 6:00. So annoying.

The food is perfect, the service is quick and courteous, and the owner is very personable and friendly. The ambiance is what you would expect in an authentic Mexican restaurant. Clean, but not fancy.

Excellent chicken (my favorite of the 3) carne asada, and carnitas street tacos. Elote cup was great too. Cashier was helpful and friendly.

Only writing a review because this is an existing listing. Don't know how they're even on Happy Cow. I went here with my mom and ended up not ordering anything because the person working couldn't give us a straight answer about any of the menu items. Menu items also aren't labeled. Waste of time :/ Updated from previous review on 2025-12-28

My wife Dee and I just discovered this gem of a restaurant. My taste buds are still dancing. We lived in ABQ for years and missed the great Mexican food there. Spicy Streets can hold it's own with any of our favorites. The owner, Carlos and his family are passionate about their cooking and it shows. Yummy! Good people too. Check it out. Joe and Dee Bruno.

Got our tacos and we had no onions or cilantro even though we ordered it. I called and they just said oh they forgot to put in the bag. Sorry bye…. Will never eat here again. First time last time. Horrible first impression.
