We were seated by the bar. Music speaker was above and I could not hear my dinner partner speak. The dinner salad had a sharp tasting dressing on it. The red peppers were too strong. Leass is more. Nate was an attentive server. We asked that we could split the main dish but the kitchen did not spilt it in the kitchen. We were not provided a large enough spoon to divide and serve it to ourselves. ourselves. I would like to return to sit in a quieter spot. The food was good....
We have eaten at Torme several times, and the food is always spectacular, the portions generous, and the service impeccable! Last night, we called last minute, and Rebecca was quick to assure us they had room. We were seated at a lovely table outside (highly recommend), and Parker was quick to our attention. The mussels and prawn appetizer was to die for, and the house special (chicken and prawns in pesto) was wonderful. I usually wait to make a review until we have tried...
Loved the atmosphere and service, but the food fell short. The chicken piccata was grossly overseasoned with too much lemon juice and herbs - almost muddy with herbs. The rib-eye was undercooked making it a little chewy for my tastes, and the risotto was slightly undone giving a slightly nutty texture. One and done for me.
