I ordered on the app and got a steak burrito and a chicken salad. When I got home and started eating my salad it was about half way through that I realized there was no chicken in my salad! Seriously how do you mess up as badly as not putting chicken in the salad. At that point it was about 20 minutes before they closed so I didn’t bother going back because the chicken wouldn’t have been fresh or any good anyways. Very disappointed!

I'm a weekly regular, the manager J, not sure his name but he's always so friendly, customer service oriented. Today, I approached a very unhappy employee who was working 15 min beyond his work schedule, nothing earth shattering. Based on his unprofessional conduct,
I told him go! He paused to continue, but a female co-worker took over helping me. Thank goodness. What customer deserves that? But, this young man was extremely upset enough to voice his issues across the restaurant. None of his peers called him out. Its ashame. The manager came out escorted the employee to check out. Not sure if it was for the day or forever. One should pride themselves on their job & the company / team they represent. I certainly hope, respect & code of conduct is key for this restaurant atmosphere. Because for a place I enjoy dining at, today was not that day 😢 Dear Manager & fellow employees, I hope this young man treated you with respect, if not, he should find a different job that would make him happy!

Jay was amazing. He was so welcoming and handled my food like it was his own. It even tasted better then normally :) Right away there was a conversation… not many places now have good customer service and he made sure to leave his customers satisfied and lovely laughs. Definitely get this guy a raise!

DONT BOTHER! CAFE RIO IN QUEEN CREEK SUCKS NOW!
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, POOR QUALITY & SMALLEST OF PORTIONS WHEN ORDERING THEIR BOWLS!!! ITTY BITTY KID SIZE PORTIONS ALL AROUND...3 times in a row now! NOT TO MENTION THE EMPLOYEES ARE BEYOND RUDE & NASTY!

I stopped by the Café Rio in Queen Creek tonight (Friday, October 17th, around 8:30 p.m.) and was really impressed. It was super busy, but the whole team was working hard and staying on top of things — the pace was steady, and everyone seemed focused and positive.

What really stood out to me was the manager — the taller guy running the show. As someone who’s managed restaurants before, I know how stressful it can get during a dinner rush, especially with younger or part-time staff. But this guy had everything under control. He was calm, encouraging, and clearly respected by his team.

It’s rare to see that kind of leadership in fast-casual dining. He kept things organized, upbeat, and professional the entire time. You could tell the crew wanted to do a great job for him.

I’ll definitely be coming back to this Café Rio because of how well this manager leads his team.

I ordered a take out order via online. At home when I opened up my burrito it only had rice, beans and grilled onions. Not a single shred of meat. I’ve noticed this on past orders as well, with little to no meat. I now will be only eating there in person so I can watch them build my order.

Stopped by for a late lunch 2:24 pm. I realize it was passed the main lunch time and many of the condiment bowls were empty or dried out e.g. rice, medium sauce, pork barbacoa etc.
