LONG, BLACK HAIR FOUND IN FOOD. MANAGER BLAMED US.

My husband and I have enjoyed Butterfield’s several times. His aunt and uncle were in town and we took them to brunch. His aunt found a long, black hair in her patty melt. Our waitress wanted to remove the charge, but the manager came out and argued with us. He acted as though we had planted the hair ourselves and insisted the hair was blond. The manager offered to remake the sandwich, but our aunt had lost her appetite. He would not show us the picture he took of the hair, nor would he bring the plate back out. When our bill arrived, it was accompanied by another long, black hair. Picture attached. The manager came over, looked at the hair and replied, “Okay.”

If the manager were to be replaced, this would be a much better customer oriented business. The food is delicious and service is excellent. The manager is not customer focused nor does he have managerial level skills. He should be removed.

Food is awesome, service is incredibly good, and atmosphere is modern and very clean. Recommended the French toast, it was so fluffy.

We went here 2 days in a row when visiting Scottsdale. I got the New Mexico skillet and the gluten free pancakes each day. For gluten free pancakes, you wouldn’t even know they were gluten free. They were so delicious. Service was great and super attentive. Very happy with this place and I wish we had them in San Diego!

Wonderful every time we go here. Friendly, attentive, and deserving staff. Food is absolutely delicious, and if it's a special order they make sure to get it right! The staff is constantly moving, cleaning up, prepping the next table and they all work so well together. Amazing job across the board. Food comes out hot and fresh, and quickly.

Kid-friendliness: My picky kiddo will only eat chicken and fries, and usually not all of what's brought because he doesn't like it. He will happily eat their entire plate!

The Butterfields on Shea is less crowded. But still a wait on popular times, but worth the wait.

Vegetarian options: I am not a vegetarian. I know too little about it to opine.

Parking: Plenty on property parking. Free. May have a 10-30 second walk depending on how fast u walk. Or not walk.

Kid-friendliness: I heard and saw children. They appeared happy. I cannot talk for customers or staff, however, nothing stood out as unfriendly

Good food but prices are high and they charge for ANY substitution no matter how small or similar. A basic black cup of coffee is $4. Just not worth the price.

Dietary restrictions: Better find something to order as is, pay for food you won't eat(ie removing meat but same price), or be ready to pay per substitution.
