Copper State has the best brisket in the area. It is so smokey, favorable, and mosit. The fried okra is also wonderful. It is fried fresh to order so it comes out hot and crisp. They gave us some smoked turkey to try and it was very favorful and moist. I couldn't believe how mosit it was. My wife said the smoked chicken was great too. The side of beans was really good too. The owner, Derek is an experience chef that knows hot to cook quality food. Please support the restaurant....read full review
Nice place! The brisket had an impressive bark for how moist it was, among the best brisket I’ve had anywhere. Beans on the side were very good too. Definitely be returning when I’m in Scottsdale.
Best bbq in Scottsdale, happy to finally have a good bbq nearby. Had the ribs and brisket great flavor. Only thing I would say could use some work was the sweet tea. Other than that I’ll be back for more bbq

Copper State Barbecue Company is a must-do spot in Scottsdale, serving the best BBQ in the area. The brisket has an impressive bark for how moist it is, among the best brisket anywhere, with a great smoky flavor. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender with great flavor, and the smoked chicken is great too. Sides like the fried okra are fried fresh to order, coming out hot and crisp, while the beans are really good and packed with flavour. The mac and cheese is perfectly creamy, and the potato salad is fresh and delicious. Even the original BBQ sauce has the perfect balance of flavour and spice. The owner is an experience chef and an absolute BBQ boss, providing warm, welcoming hospitality and great service. They sell out pretty quick, so be sure to place an order ahead of time. The only thing that could use some work was the sweet tea. The food is mind blowing, with care and passion in every dish, and it is hands down the best barbecue ever tasted.
