What a wonderful dinner! Our knowlegable waiter really helped us out in explaining the menu and we were not disappointed. We never would have ordered the chicken if not for his guidance and it was the star of our meal. The fresh made focaccia with ricotta cheese and chili butter was an unexpected treat. The house made pasta with truffle butter and speck made us both exclaim “oh my gosh!” We were too full for dessert but were pleased with our experience.

Service was excellent. Salad di Casa was good but the pancetta was very chewy like jerky, and that texture kind of threw off the balance. The Pici pasta was disappointing. The mushroom in it was microscopic. Pasta was too small a portion to really share, as they suggest. The star of the show was the Bistecca Fiorentina! Do not hesitate to order for a party of 2 or 3. Excellent service in a gorgeous environment. Clever menu with a huge variety of wines/cocktails. Perhaps a few more traditional than precious menu offerings for the gastro conservatives of your patrons.....but that is not a criticism just a suggestion. Highly recommend the Fat Ox.
