Unfortunately I didn't look at the menu before stopping for an early lunch. 1/2 sandwich and a bowl of soup and fountain drink for 1 person was $23.76. Wow! I thought the cashier had mistakenly thought I wanted a whole sandwich or that it came with sides that I just hadn't noticed. Nope. The food was o.k. nothing to warrant the cost. Live and learn.

Food was not as good as it was in the past. Sandwiches were only so-so. Rugulah was great, though.

We discovered this wonderful deli. Friendly, courteous, helpful staff was what we found. The establishment was very clean & relaxed with indoor & outdoor seating. We ordered Clubhouse & Rueben sandwiches. Probably the BEST Rueben I have ever eaten. Thanks so much & please keep up the great work!

My husband and I have been looking for a good Jewish deli since moving to AZ. They're few and far between. Coming from CA where there are excellent ones everywhere, Arts, Lovies, Brents, Weilers.... The list goes on. But AZ not so many. Anyway we both had the day off today so we decided to drive from Gilbert to Scottsdale. I have to say we were so so disappointed in Goldmans. My husband ordered a hot corned beef and me a hot pastrami. Neither were even slightly warm and both meats were flavorless and super chewy. There were long strings of grizzle throughout my pastrami which made it super hard to just take a bite. The corned beef was a bit tastier than the pastrami but not much. Pastrami and corned beef should be salty and melt in your mouth. These were not. Also, they really need to have a better selection of chips. Lays,Cheetos and Doritos are just blahhhh for a quality deli. No different from Subway choice. How about good quality kettle chips like salt and vinegar or bbq? Zapps are the best. Anyway we wouldn't return. Maybe Miracle Mile in Phoenix next time.

Being Jewish, it's great to find a real deli (not just a sandwich shop) with authentic Jewish food. The matzo ball soup was really good with a large matzo ball and veggies. Had to have a bagel, cream cheese and lox and the coffee was really good too. Next time I have to try the blintzes!!

Food was served hot and tasty. They have a larger back room for seating. No big lines or waiting like at other breakfast spots. Would go back again!

Was so looking forward to getting food from Goldmans Deli but it was something I wish I hadn’t done.Food was terrible and completely overpriced. The bagel was fine, nothing special and was toasted as requested. The potato salad was average but wouldn’t recommend. The kashsa varnishka was below average. Tasted and looked weird because they put onions in it.The most disappointing was the freshly made chopped liver. Literally the worst I’ve had in my entire long life. They completely ruined it with the onions and whatever else they put in it that ruined the flavor. Basically not edible.Only good thing was the Dr Browns drinks and the cashier was nice.Atmosphere was lackluster.P.S. The lox is Acme brand.

First time at Goldman's Deli. Friend raved about the cabbage soup. I opted for a pastrami on rye with potato salad. Deli is located in a shopping center and clearly a neighborhood favorite. Been to a lot of delis in the Phoenix area since I was born here. Think most of the deli restaurants have been New York Style. Ordered food at the front counter. You pay and your food is delivered to your table. You get a cup to help yourself if having a soft drink. Order arrives and friend says, the portions are not as big as other local delis. Sandwich was respectable in portion size. Prices were pretty much on par so no complaints on value. Friend paid for lunch anyway. Pastrami was tasty, however it was not hot and no mustard. Hmm, not sure if that is considered Chicago Style? Apparently, that is not the case. Mustard and napkins are at the counter. Service was great at the service counter. After your order is delivered, you are on your own. If in the area, would try Goldman's again. Hard to score a restaurant based upon one meal experience. Place is not a Chompies, Scott's Generations or Miracle Mile Deli; but those are not Chicago Style Delis.

They are spotlighting reviews stating "best kosher food" when this IS NOT a Kosher restaurant. They should immediately remove misleading reviews so unsuspecting people who are Kosher don't make a mistake by eating here. Such a Shonda...
