The food was great. The wait after seated was 10 minutes before someone came to take a drink order. The restaurant was windy and chilly because every door and window was open. Good place to have lunch.

The food quality has sadly, regressed. The pork chop is called almost famous and it should be called almost pitiful. The ribs were dried out and bland as if they sat under a lamp for hours. This place has changed in the wrong direction. We've gone there for years. Not the same....

I love this place! The Orzo Salmon Salad is one of my favorites! Great lighting. Outdoor patio is super pretty lit and the staff is so friendly. Great spot to bring your parents to.Vegetarian options: Salads Galore!

Our lunch was crazy expensive. The fish sandwich was so so. The tuna salad was very good. We paid over $70. A fish sandwich, Fresh Tuna Salad and a side of asparagus and one coke. Just no worth it.

We needed a quick dinner after running around doing wedding errands and were nearby. Thankfully we showed up and easily found seats at the bar. After being here for 5 mins - I realized how eerily familiar it all was. It was because it's the sibling restaurant to my other favorite spot, The Macintosh. Great old fashioned cocktails just like Macintosh. Great yummy southern inspired meals just like Macintosh as well. Highly recommend it!

This place is amazing! It's small and intimate, which means it's great for date night or a meeting. The bartender Steven was one of the best bartenders ever! He twisted my arm to buy dessert! He even recommended the shop next door just in case I wanted something smaller. ? I plan to bring my team here next week.
Great find while in the area on business. Really fresh and great tasting food, but a little pricey for lunch. With that said I would definitely go back.

We had a nice lunch & we were able to share some of our friends food suggestions. The Shrimp and grits dish was delicious. The grits were very creamy. Also ordered red beans and rice which were quite good. Loved a side they got of I believe Swiss chard and onions. My wife got the special which was a pulled pork sandwich. It was great. I had a salmon salad which looked great, but I felt it was a little underwhelming in flavor & size. Staff was friendly, pretty attentive, & gave accurate feedback on dishes.Parking: There weren't really enough spaces available near the restaurant at lunch, but it was about a city block walk from the upper parking area.

Grassroots Kitchen came highly recommend from a friend who lives in Phoenix. We were not disappointed. I had perused the menu before hand and could not wait to try their Shrimp and Grits, YUM! The Desert Flower Cocktail was rather tasty as well. We are looking forward to a future visit.

Grass Roots is our GO TO first meal while we're in town from Illinois. Tonight did not disappoint. Wife had the red snapper/ dirty orzo and I had the shrimp and grits. Food is a 5 star+. Malcom, our server was over the top customer service. This is our go to in Scottsdale, reasonably priced, atmosphere is great, and food is always excellent! Menu is so robust that anyone will be pleased.
