I'm not sure if it's new staffing or just bad communication but I got charged incorrectly, paid cash but didn't get the 2% discount and order a pita and got a meal..but already had issues with order so didn't want to be a trouble. Told them to keep the salad and rice as I wouldn't eat. But still brought it out. Food is delicious and would recommend. Just caution of what you order and make sure you are clear.
Seating is cramped and loud, but atmosphere is cute.

Ordered pickup while sitting in the parking lot. Arrived just as my food was placed on the counter. MY GYRO IS COLD! It tast3s like it was an order bo one picked up as it is COLD! The cold taziki sauce didn't help. The fries are half done. Absolutely horrible and a waste if money. This experience further confirms that eating out is a complete waste of time and money. Do better, the place was practically empty! Fingers crossed that I don't get sick.

I just had one of the best Greek meals that I've had in a long time! It's the perfect "diner" like atmosphere! The food was awesome! I had the gyro and fries. The meat was flavorful, the veggies tasted fresh, the sauce was good, the fries were fresh from the fryer, even the Coke was great! The best part about my lunch was the service! The cashier was an absolute sweetheart! She made you feel welcomed and greeted you with a smile! I'll be eating here every time I come so Scottsdale!

From the moment we walked into Gyro Express, we were greeted with so much enthusiasm and friendliness from the staff. Amirah and Ilene were just amazing, making us feel right at home and incredibly comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious, and every bite was worth the 25-minute drive. We'll gladly make the trip again for such an amazing dinner. Thank you, Ilene and Amirah, for the wonderful experience!

I've had gyros, from many parts of the country but I have to say this that what they serve here is excellent it reminded me of the first time I ever had one and I've always loved them ever since.
I stopped there last night 6/12/24.. after waiting in line gentleman was on the register I'm not sure if he was the owner or not told me it was cash only cuz they were having an issue with their debit card machine of course I didn't have any cash that was told I had a walk to Chompies to see if they had an ATM..So I went To Chompies and just ordered from there, I understand things happen but if you could run a business you need to know how to fix the debit card machine so your customers don't have to walk out of your store. I would put money on that's not the first time it's happened to that business therefore they should know how to fix it.

This place ought to be condemned. Filthy. Roaches and greasy. Service is terrible but who cares about that if it’s filthy. I actually walked out. They didn’t stop me or offer me my money back. I finally thought to ask about it and they said no. I don’t care about the $10. I’d rather not get sick and eat this filth. I’ve never written such a vitriolic review. But do yourself a favor and stay away.

It is so difficult to find a true Mediterranean restaurant that actually tastes authentic (with the exception of the gyro meat being truly authentic). Fresh delicious food. We have been here a few times when we are in Scottsdale. Everything is fresh, their service is friendly and if you ever have any questions or need extra sauce they are more than happy to help or accommodate. If you love Mediterranean and are in Scottsdale, this is the place to eat at!
