HULA'S Modern Tiki Scottsdale

More of a Hawaiian-Themed restaurant than a Tiki Bar, but serves up lots of Tiki-drinks and has an excellent weekday/weekend happy hour. Service was excellent, although the bar/restaurant was short-staff (only one waiter/host, one bartender, and two cooks - seriously busy). Despite all, service was good and the drinks were great.

Hula's has always been a place we like to go, either this location, or more often the opening City North. They have great food, and I love their fish bites and mai tai.

Excellent food, drinks, and service! We started with spicy edamame, which had a kick with savory flavor.

I chose the fish sandwich with half sweet potato fries, half regular. The fish was perfectly seasoned and a generous portion—did not need the bread. I will definitely come back and order this again.

My fiancé ordered the short ribs, which were delicious! His brother ordered the pulled pork in a delectable sauce.

We will definitely be back, and highly recommend Hula’s!

The Loco Moco was amazing! Definitely worth the trip I love the atmosphere also. Nice cute little dining establishment.

I’m honestly impressed how well they made a disgusting locomoco…. And this is the second time they messed up the food we ordered!

Went in for tacos based on a recommendation from a friend. Menu looked great but when we arrived the place was quiet and we chose to sit at the bar. There was a hostess stand with no hostess stating wait to be seated. There were maybe 10 patrons in the entire place. We sat at the bar and right away we were greeted with menus and placed a drink order. One draft beer and water….. the bar tender took our order and then never got our drinks. We waited around 10 minutes and then left. Disappointed to say the least.

Corn bread was ok, sliders were cheap but so so. Nice service and staff...food was has potential just not amaIng.. Chicken bowl was tasty and worth the price. Hence the 3 stars. Maybe I'm being harsh but debatable if id go back

As a freelancer who loves to explore new spots while traveling, I recently stumbled upon HULA’S Modern Tiki.

The menu is a fantastic fusion of Island and Mainland flavors, and there’s truly something for everyone. Personally, I couldn’t get enough of their tacos—they were absolutely delicious! But the real showstoppers? The cocktails. Not only were they perfectly crafted, but they were also adorably presented. Each sip felt like a mini vacation.
