This place used to be delicious. Now? It’s a pit from hell. The booth seats and chairs are scratched up and destroyed, the tables have a permanently sticky residue, there are not enough people working there, and the food has not only gone up BIG TIME in price, but absolutely downhill in quality. My friend and I ordered: 1/2 portion of the ramen salad, side of green beans and 2 fried rice: one with “pork” the other with pineapple. The menu stated that with “pork” (chopped cased sausage of some unidentifiable sort) was $8 and with pineapple $4. But, NO! They didn’t even have the price of the rice on its own on the menu …NO PRICE, leading the consumer to think , “ok, $8 and $4 for a plate of rice…OHHHH, no!! The “pork” and pineapple were EXTRA charges for a small plate of rice! The rice was $8 ALONE. The total price for a plate of green beans, 1/2 ramen salad with frozen chicken tender pieces (nope, not the macadamia chicken they USED to make), the pathetic rice and one glass of wine? EIGHTY F-ING dollars. I was disgusted. This place was bought out in 2019 by some company called ONE HOSPITALITY GROUP and it is now a decrepit, over-priced, nightmare. DO NOT GO. DO NOT spend your money! I am still in complete awe about even surviving the horrible experience. Eat the sushi? It’s your funeral. Shame on this place and shame on Scottsdale Fashion Square for allowing them to pay rent.

My daughter and I went to Kona Grill yesterday, Jan.15 for early dinner because we're tired shopping and walking all over the Fashion Square mall. We've been eating here for a quick bite everytime we shopped but this time, the food was horrible no flavor and over cooked. I ordered the NY steak because I want some protein and veggies, my daughter had a burger because she wants an easy meal, both came out over cooked and un-seasoned, even I told the waiter I want my steak meduim. It took awhile to get our food so we're hungry but I lost my appetite after 1 bite, the waiter only comes once to check on us and told him that the food WAS NOT GOOD! He said sorry but not satisfied with the apology because he only check on us once and the time we want the bill, money go straight to the trash because we didn't finish our lousy food. I learned my lesson NOT TO GO TO THIS PLACE ANYMORE, VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

I went here on the suggestion of my parents, who love it, just to be disappointed. My partner and I ordered a California roll ($10), a crab crunch roll ($15), and a potsticker appetizer ($17). As a sushi lover, I am prepared to fork over a decent chunk of change for a good, handmade sushi roll. These were nothing but disappointing. They were both six pieces, the rice was wet, the fillings tasted completely average, and the crab crunch roll was essentially just a California roll with unagi sauce and panko on top for an extra $5. The sushi easily should have costed $10-$15 combined at a low-scale sushi restaurant. It would have tasted the same too. The potstickers came out and I thought, “really?” as I saw only six measly chicken potstickers sitting on a plate. They only tasted of mild chicken and wayyyy too much ginger. $17 for six dumplings? Are you kidding me? Frankly, I could have made this whole “meal” at home for 1/3 of the price and 3x better than Kona. Don’t waste your money here if you care about getting good, unique food for a fair price.Edit: I understand this is the corporate office, but my statements still stand. Y’all suck.

Service is awful, personnel just does not care about customers. We were seated outside, so to speak, because you don't see the sky under the mall and it is basically on the parking lot. Music is way too loud, person greeting you is obnoxious, menu is uninspiring. Other than that, it is great... Avoid, there are much better choices in Scottsdale.
