The food was outstanding. The staff was friendly and warm. Our chef was funny and entertaining. Great food and a fun experience all for a very reasonable price.

Our Cook was awesome and we all had a GREAT TIME! The cook made our 8 yr old's birthday special and appreciated all they did for us.

I got INKIND spend $150 minus $50 promotion.
Liked only one thing that is somewhat the same every where - ikura with quail egg nigiri. Everything else is overpriced and don’t have good taste so mediocre- they out this horrible crab mix in everything- spoils all the fish taste on rolls. Muscles were over baked brown and not the whole thing cut up with not sure really what was in it.; yelotail roll for $24 with sweet pickle and shura ha was really a mismatch; and lollipop roll was sloppy made with huge cucumber skin that broke before I picked it up. It smells bad once you get in there like an old mold.
Maybe lunch is better but dinner is horrible - waste of $100 plus tip. Sadly might look great but not for this price and taste

Good sushi. An older Japanese chef that's been there for ages comes in later in the day and makes the sushi. The drinks aren't bad either. They have hh also. Check the days. They have teppanyaki and that can get noisy when you're just sitting at the regular tables having sushi. But that's later on in the day. You have to have a reservation for the teppanyaki. If you go early you can get in for sushi without reservations. It gets busy at night, so I would recommend a reservation in the evening. Not as busy in the summer.

Extremely disappointed. Food was average at best and fillet was supposed to be med rare and came out well done. Chef made a new one but it wasn’t much better. The vegetables were going bad and were not good, tasted like dirt. Service was even worse. Served kept arguing with me. Then the bill came and I was charged another service fee for using my debit card! This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant and to have to tip the chef oj the teppenyaki then the server to get another “service fee” because you used a debit/credit card is just absurd! Won’t ever be back!

Service is exceptional, and Great value. Owner was extremely kind, as we had our granddaughters birthday party there and of course the kids wanted some squishy toy from their vending machine they wasn't working. Owner came over and opened the machine handing out toys at no cost. Sweet man!

Server messed up my order. Was not very polite about it when I tried addressing it. Made me feel stupid although I know what I ordered. Turns out I was right. No apology.

Wouldn’t return.

Teppanyaki chef was great and food was great! BUT we almost didn't come after making the reservations, because the girl on the phone was so unfriendly. Pretty sure the same girl who took the reservation was also our server, because she was equally as unfriendly.

Food was excellent, service was great, the teppanyaki entertainment was lacking some. Overall a good time. The restaurant is overdue for a decor update.

Very very loud. My group complained about the noise. The food was good. I think it’s a fun atmosphere but apparently it’s not for everyone.

I had an unforgettable dining experience at Kyoto Scottsdale! The food was absolutely incredible — every dish was packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the main course, everything exceeded expectations.

The highlight of the night was Chef **Riki Rice**! His skill, energy, and showmanship truly made the evening one to remember. The teppanyaki was hands down the *best* I’ve ever had, and Chef Riki’s performance was as impressive as his cooking. It’s clear he’s a true master of his craft!

If you’re craving amazing Japanese cuisine and a fun, memorable dining experience, Kyoto Scottsdale is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Food was slightly salty, but alright overall. The service was excellent. Drinks were never empty, and the teppenyaki was very entertaining.

Dark and smelled old. Much more expensive than a 4 star Japanese restaurant! $100 for just myself and only 1 drink.
