I have eaten at the original in Chicago. I ordered calamari and a personal deep dish. The calamari was decent, only downfall was the grease on the plate (presentation matters). The pizza was good but seemed to lack flavor and didn’t have much toppings. It was still good but they have some work to do in order to hit the mark. Service was good.
Sam and Katelyn(?) are fantastic. Never have any complaints when they take care of us. Personal deep dish, beef bites, and mozzarella bites have yet to disappoint.
Spiked lemonade and the Italian marg are also really solid. Overall, no complaints. This is our new happy hour spot.

Lou must be rolling over in his grave. The changes they've made to save money are disappointing. At first I thought my experience was a one-off but the deep dish is so thin and tastes nothing like it used to.
It's no wonder the restaurant is always empty. You're proving what happens to good companies when investors take over. Farewell old friend and thanks for the memories.
